I've seen so many people not using training camps, why is that? Is it because you find you're kinda cheating since your rider's attributes will increase? And if so, don't you think it's fair if you play in a difficulty that decreases them (Hard, Extreme)?
I thought it added realism to the the game since you can evolve irl (although not as much, obviously). Your thoughts?

It increases your attributes temporarily, but it eventually fatigues your rider which downgrades fitness and restores thec normal skills in the long run.

That seems realistic to me... You spend June on a mountain training camp, you will be pretty good on Tour de France and then with the accumulated fatigue your condition will dicrease with time, meaning you won't be able to do it all the time and make a 86 mountain cyclist out of a 55 one and also be in good shape... You obviously can increase the attributes higher then you were able in real life but the race difficulty can take care of that easily...

Most players don't do it because the computer doesn't, so you can quickly raise a riders stat 2-3 points which is more than enough to give you a huge edge in a race over the computer.

Personally, I see it as pure cheating. The AI can't send their riders to training camps, which gives you an unfair advantage over them.

I play on:

Medium
Extreme
No camps
Evolution 0.5
Random Potential
