Isn´t it possible to renew the contract with your own sponsor? Fx If I am Saxobank, is it then impossible to renew the contract with saxobank when the contract ends? If it is so, it´s absolutely crazy, all team will have changed their sponsor after 3 years then...

I have just started a career with Skil Shimano, one of the goals was too wear the sprinters jersey at the Santos Tour Down Under. It would help if I wasn't refused a wild card, now my sponsors are very unhappy. Also they are unhappy I don't have enough Japanese riders and that I am not picking star riders for races. Im only on stage 3 of Le Tour Langkawi. Give me chance. This is a downside of the game. Rant over lol

It will improve over time, in your first season with a minor team, don't bother with trying for a wild card for Paris Nice, etc. Instead, try to do well in smaller races, after a while your sponsor confidence should be back up. |

That´s crazy anyway, your team will change sponsor and shirt all the time, that´s a big bug in my opinion. In my opinion Cyanide are still not good enough game developers, they do so many absolutely f... up things every year. it should be pretty easy to make it possible to renew the contract of the current sponsor in your team.
How many years is it possible to sign a sponsor contract? I gues 3 year is the max.

I have goals set by the sponsors for the Tour de France and Giro D'Italia aswell, I think they are asking alot. As I have farely decent sprinters I may just try and get a wildcard fro the Eneco Tour and Vettenfal Classics.

The goals don't matter, that whole sponsor page has NO impact in the game.
Maybe Cyanide started to program the new features but had not enough time to finish them.
You can spend as much money as you want, race the races you want, select the riders you want, contract the riders you want. The sponsor will be more or less happy but they will never quit or reduce or increase the budget.
All you have to do is search a new sponsor before the actual one quits. But even if you miss that, the game suggest three sponsors at the start of the next season. |

Not true, in previous editions if you achieved your sponsor goals and increased confidence that meant a higher budget the following season |

Yes, you did get more money in PCM2010. (Full sponsor confidence = twice the money for next year)
That feature was so extremely stupid that I am very happy they removed it.
But all they came up with is a non working interface and as far as I read they even messed up the only working part in the management part with the latest patch. (Searching for new sponsors seems bugged now) |

At least with that feature in PCM2010 you could start a career with a small team and work your way up the ladder, getting more money every year and more expensive riders if you didi well. Now if you do well if doesn´t make any difference...until you can change sponsors - now, that is stupid! |

In my eyes this new feature is clever. The old system was the most stupid thing ever. Twice the money every year, what a joke...
Now, it takes longer to bring a crappy team to the top. Which is fine for me, because in pcm2010 you could start with a conti-team with 7 riders and win all GTs in the 3rd season. |

Okay I understand the following. I play with Rabobank, the contract runs out in 2016. Which means I will lose them as sponsor. But what than? I need to find a new sponsor. Is the budget higher or lower? The current sponsor pays 5,3 million Euro. Is it possible to get a higher amount? |

I think you'll run out of sponsor contract at the end of the 2016 season. With the present (1.0.4.4) patch you can't send any agents anymore, so you'll be dealt three offers at the end of the season and it's up to you to pick one of them. The next budget will be more or less a random effect...

You still have the possibility to fix the budget or the sponsors using an editor, no matter how much cyanide messed it up with this patch. |

it's been made impossible to find a new sponsor
i KNEW those agents were money-hungry thieves (up to 9k per week)
then how do you get the "new contract" objective, or is that by picking a new sponsor?
edit: thanks for the replies guys, i was a bit worried that "liquigas" and others were signing new deals and i hadn't been approached yet
