The only 100% official Lanterne Rouge thread on pcm.daily!
^^It's all about dodging that, but stayin' in the race!
For years the most exciting competition in the tour is who becomes Lanterne Rouge. It's the skill of dropping off the back of everything, whilst still staying in the race.
2010 - Malori
2009 - Hutarovich
2006-2008 - Vansevenant
2005 - Flores
2004 - Casper
2003 - De Clerq
2002 - Flores
2001 - Casper
The UK can claim fame to winning it twice, but it is France that was won it the most. Can it do it again?
There's no point slapping a schleck - Sean Kelly on "Who needs a slap"

Jérôme totally cracked today. 13 minutes ahead of grupetto, that's one very unwelcome performance.
I mean, has he lost his mind ? |

Amador is said to be struggling, wouldn't be surprised if he retired, leaving Jerome to be the Lanterne Rouge again. ^^ |

As if it is too hard to lose 9min on the last 100m today. ;(
This would have been an easy thing.
Hope tomorrow he learns a bit and is not to high motivated that he loses contact to the grupetto. |

I guess Voecklers maillot jaune is messing with his head.

WoW - HTC are doing so well:
Green Jersey, 3 in top 10 of Lantern Rouge and a possible top 10 GC? |

Vincent Jerome is thinking about the important things you need to posses to become Lanterne Rouge.

I think it would be better with - in stead of +.

No. It`s a competition to get it. So Jerome is missing 4'53 to win it. So + is correct.
(Of course it`s incorrect in terms of time)

Watch out for Navardauskus. Why else would Vaughters have brought him?

Yep, he clearly deserves a reward for all the work he had to do for Thor. When Thor kept the yellow in Super Besse, the first thing I thought was "poor Navardauskas, he won't forget his first TdF!"

If you want to talk to guy on twitter, Alex Dowsett is the man. 'Drowned' him into conversation about him being cover of PCM in Britain, and then chilaxing out Preety awesome guy.

Vaughters is pretty good at responding to people as long as it's interesting -- this being the obvious example: https://twitter.com/#!/Vaughters/statu...8958429184
