Le Tour de France 2011
Stage 2 - Les Essarts (TTT) 23km
Stage Info (from cyclingnews.com)
Measuring just 23km and on flat roads all the way, this team time trial test is designed to split up the contenders for the yellow jersey but not to the point where any of them end up totally out of contention. The equivalent stage run over 19.3km on the opening day of May's Giro d'Italia ended with just 73 seconds separating HTC in first place and Euskaltel in last. On that basis the gap between top and bottom today shouldn't be as much as two minutes, but that same Giro stage also suggests that euskaltel leader Samuel Sánchez is likely to be the main loser here.

The battle is between Sky, Radioshack, HTC and Leopard. Personally think it will be Sky. They trained for this since January marking it out as their stage win for the Tour. They have done loads of recons and I think they will be team to beat. |

Cancellara, Fuglsang, Gerdemann, Monfort, O'Grady, Posthuma, Voigt + Schlecks in the pack. If Schlecks can hang in this train when they'll go full gas, I think they will take this stage.

Garmin more likely than Leopard imo - depends how much of a drag Cancellara can give - Id have though the Schlecks would require a slower pace. Sky would have had a better chance if Rogers was there, as planned. I fear Radioshack could win.

Only 23kms which means Cancellara can win this on his own! Schlecks just have to hang on his wheel

I think people are underestimating Rabobank their team is pretty stable, they have relatively good TT´ers |

Katusha will surprise everyone.
Six of their riders are Russian track team members.
They are my bet |

Good TT'lists chart:
Sky; EBH Thomas Wiggins Flecha?
HTC: Martin, Bak, van Garderen, Velits
Leo: Spartacus, Fuglsang, Monfort, Gerdemann, Andy?
Shack: Kloeden, Leipheimer, Brajkovic? Horner? Popovych?
Garmin; Millar, that lithuainian guy, Hesjedal, Zabriskie, Vandevelde, Danielson?
Rabo: LuLu Sanchez, Boom, Tjallingii
? - stands for riders i'm not sure

Why is everyone forgetting Garmin?
VandeVelde, Zabriskie, Navardauskus (spellling?) Hesjedal, Danielson, Millar.
Leopard is only getting consideration cause of Cancellara, so why not Garmin, with Zabriskie and Millar?

On Sky's facebook page when I comment usually people reply that I am too negative. So I have to balance that here and stay postive |

Good TTT riders arent necesarily the best TT riders. For example, Cavendish is a good TTT rider.
