So I will be starting a lets play of pcm 2011 as I thought my pcm 2010 one was quite successful
For all wondering I shall continue my pcm 2010 lets play (or if I can transfer the data to pcm 2011 somehow then I will continue with the same team on there)
So I want to know what kind of story you fine men (and women?) of pcmdaily would like me to do.
Please answer the poll but most importantly comment with why you voted for it and any further details.
I hope to get the lets play started once the pcm 2011 db is released as well as any patches cyanide releases
Thanks and stay tuned |

I think making a story with real PCM members would make for a more exciting thread, I know not that many people commented on your 2010 thread ( I watched most of them though), so thats a possibility which would make for more action but if not, I prefer watching about real riders.

Seing as how you're on of the most dedicated ones out there I would love to see a story with members as most of them never reach the end of february. In the end I think it will be great no matter which you decide on |

I would love it if you did the members one. I think it would be different and if it goes as well as your current one (which I really like) I think it will get a lot of interest. Obviously there would be a few problems with everybody wanting to be like Contador or Cavendish but I don't mind being rubbish. Mister Mediocre if you will |

Ha yes well I think currently the best plan would be if I could transport my current save onto pcm 2011 and then also do the members one, and brewers90 don't worry there would be rules and restrictions for how good people can make themselves |

What I may end up doing is three stories , continue my 2010 one if people are still interested in watching it, make a pcmdaily one and then use a real team such as vaconsolei and as it's summer holidays I could upload one a day or something like that but yes everyone continue voting and commenting, I'm sure people have some good ideas |

Haha yes well it will be the equivalent of one a day as I would be out some days but then upload a few in one day to make up for it |

I would say members story. It would attract more readers and followers to your story. I never commented in yours with PCM 2010, but I've watched some of your videos and liked them. |

I'm thinking in a history were team members have a media of 65 (or the number you want depending which team type do you want to manage) and they could distribute the points as they want), with full potential.
At the end of the season, each rider will have bonus points.
For example, if a rider makes 450pts in a season (CQ Ranking), let's divide for 15 and he would have 30 bonus points to distribute again. This points will be added to the training ones.
Between ages you could set the factor:
15-18: 15 (450 points: 30 bonus points)
19-21: 20 (450 points: 22 bonus points)
22-24: 25 (450 points: 18 bonus points)
25-28: 30 (450 points: 15 bonus points)
28-30: 45 (450 points: 10 bonus points)
30+: 90(450 points: 5 bonus points)
It's an idea... |

Yes a very interesting idea, I had already planned to give a set amount of points to allocate but I had been having trouble thinking of how to set potential, and this would definitely solve it.
I think setting the potential to nothing would be better and for me to just manually change it at points during the year based on bonus points due to CQ points as full potential and bonus points would surely lead to overpowered riders?
I will look into this but I think its the basis of a good idea and would only need to work out how many points is a decent amount to distribute for a certain amount of CQ points,
Ok another question that maybe someone could give an idea too, this CQ point style would definitely lead to people only wanting to be stage racers or sprinters instead of say leadout men or breakaway speciailists how could this be solved? maybe If someone wins from a breakaway they get double bonus points? and if a sprinter wins then his leadout man gets the same amount of points as he does?
I will also set a different amount of starting points to different ages,
e.g
15-18 = 800
19-21 = 810
etc...

I would definately prefer leadout men getting points as well, often their effort isn't honored.
Recent member stories showed however that quite a few members have chosen fighters or TT specialists.

May be the Teams Points in Ranking could be distributed by you and not by each rider.
Leader #1 = 100 pts
Leader #2 = 80 pts
Teammate #1 = 50pts
Teammate #2 = 15 pts
Teammate #3 = 0pts
Teammate #4 = 0pts
Team Distribution:
Leader #1 = 100
Leader #2 = 80
Teammate #1, #2, #3 and #4 would have 245 points to distribute between them.
What do you think? |

@cio93 but other member stories did not use the same point distribution did they? TT specialists may well be one people want as you are likely to get wins or podiums in TT's.
@ricotero_uy If the team would distribute like that then everyone would want to be the leader as they would progress quicker, though I like your idea of a win giving points to the team but this would then be evenly distributed a bit like everyone riding for their leader in a race as the cash would get evenly distributed between them for a win |

Another idea: You could (in case you would be willing to do that little extra work) rate the riders after the races.
For example:
Rider A: His job was to lead out Rider B. He did a good job and gets an 8 out of 10.
Rider B: His job was to sprint. He did bad although he was positioned good. He gets only 4 out of 10 points.
Rider C: His job was only to get water bottles. He did that good and therefore gets, lets say, 9 out of 10.
At a certain point (just as an example: Halfway through the season), you calculate the average rating and multiply it by a certain factor (lets say 2). If a rider e.g. has average rating of 6.8 points, he would get 14 points to distribute after the first half of the season.
This is just a model, certain details can be changed, e.g. the scale, or whatever. But this way, the riders would be worshiped for the work they've done, without looking at results.

This is also a good idea the only problem is it would all be down to how I thought they did and people could be annoyed with the results I give them and people may think I am being biased, I still like the idea of gaining points throughout the season I will just have to think of how each rider would gain these points in order to make it even for every rider and then people can get onto making there riders |

But I think you can't please everyone. Or, you wouldn't consider the performances, and just say:
Riders at the age of 18 get 5 points every 2 months
Riders at the age of 21 get 4 points every 2 months
and so on. That would be another way, too.
But if you'd like to consider the performances, then I don't think you can satisfy everyone.
