Normally, I buy PCM in the store, but with last years edition, I experienced some trouble. The DVD broke and I bought a new one. A couple of weeks later, there are again cracks forming in the DVD. It still works (for now), but i don't know how long this will stay that way. Anyone know what the problem might be, please, pm me 
but this wasn't the thing I wanted to ask.
To prevent these problems in the future, i am doubting to buy it online. My question now is, is this a good idea? do you have experience with downloading the game (legally )? and what are the pro's and cons . |

I think it safer to have the files in an External HD than in a DVD. Also I live in Uruguay and the game is not for sale here. |

I got it online, which I generally prefer anyway, but here in America it is basically impossible to find in stores so there wasn't much of a choice. |

I dont think I could find the game in stores here in Hong Kong so I pre-ordered the dvd version from a UK web shop.
And I'd like to own something in hands. |

I'm downloading the game this year. I don't want a disk that's getting scratched and eventually broken.
And, when paying in US$ the price ain't that bad either. |

I normally buy the game in a store, but I think it's faster to download it. What do you get when you download it? Is it a .exe file etc or what? And what if you lose those files?

It`s an exe and some bin files normally. So you jsut click the exe.
You can burn these files onto a disk and then you won`t lose it.
You also get an email with the download links if you need to redownload it. |

Thanks, then I just go to the store to see if they have it and if they don't I just download it! =) 23the release?

I buy it online because i think it's more convenient really, and also they dont sell the game anywhere in Australia (Or at least anywhere near where I live  )

Well i buy the game, then make an iso out of it. So i can run it without using the actual cd

I don't no much about the laws in belgium, but in Germany it's illegal to use it in order not to enter the cd/dvd |

I'm pretty sure it isn't. Avoiding the starforce protection is illegal according to § 95a ( "Wirksame technische Maßnahmen zum Schutz eines nach diesem Gesetz geschützten Werkes oder eines anderen nach diesem Gesetz geschützten Schutzgegenstandes dürfen ohne Zustimmung des Rechtsinhabers nicht umgangen werden" )
