The 2011 Giro d'Italia will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, with a mountainous route that looks set to exalt a possible duel between Vincenzo Nibali and <insert a returned doper's name here>.
Race director Angelo Zomegnan revealed the route in Turin, where the three weeks of racing will begin on Saturday, May 7 with a 21.5km team time trial.
The corsa rosa concludes with a 32.8km individual time trial that finishes in the shadow of the spectacular Milan Duomo on Sunday, May 29.
In between, the 3496km route heads south to Sicily for a mountain finish on the slopes of the Etna volcano and then returns north along the Adriatic coast before a long series of testing stages in the Dolomites and a grand finale on the dirt road climb of the Colle delle Finestre near Sestriere.

Tomorrow stage make look like for sprinter but looking closer
At about 2k to go we have about 600m at about 8%. Di Luca would be a good bet to attack, as well as Le Mevel. Or will sprinter teams will be able to hold attackers ?

Tomorrow's stage is all along the coast, so I hope there's some wind to add a bit of excitement. And with that bump in the last kms, it's looking good for Petacchi and Ventoso if it ends up in a sprint. |

Just ignore that guy. He has some obvious problems...
Anyway, for today's stage, I would bet on a sprint finish with Petacchi and Ventoso as the main favourites, with special attention for Angel Vicioso or if he doesn't make it, he's teammate Roberto Ferrari. |

I'd say Ventoso has has a great chance, or maybe a big breakaway with unimportant riders
