Hey Guys.
I know the PCM 2011 is "just" around the corner, but its the same every year, and of course you can play both PCM 09 10 and 11 when you have a good game going on.
So now i really wants to test my skills in the Full 2011DB.
So my question to you guys is.
Wich team should i choose.
I want to have a team who can compete in the GCs, Sprints and classics.
Not necessarily win em, but be a good challenger for the jerseys.
If i havent stated it good enough, just ask me about more specific info

FDJ should do well; I edited Offredo gave him 76 cobbles.
Sprints for Hutarovich. GC, Polkadot Casar, Cobbles Offredo, Guesdon. That's what I call difficult to play with if you want to test your skills.

I guess Sky, they have Wiggo, Lofkvist and Uran for GC. Flecha and Thomas for cobbles with great supporting team on cobbles and for sprints, Hendo, Swift, Sutton and Hagen. I recommend
EDIT: Didnt see your post above, i guess Omega or Rabo, Leopard far to easy imo.

Even on Extreme The sprints would be to easy for an experienced player.
Mountains will be to hard probably and Cobbles will be to easy.
@ Breezer. I once started a carreer with Aqua e Sapone and reached 2016. And i can assure you i was much fun. Since you start as an outsider and try to each topp-class cycling.
But out of your list i should choose Rabobank.

None of them (sprinters) are best in their discipline, Hagen is only one. And to be fair I found his sprint stat too high based on these season performances and should be lowered in next update. If you are experienced player even as Sky you can do very well in mountains.

Off course we can't judge the playing skills of Breezer. And maybe you are right. But when you think about the future it'll probably become to easy with hagen. So i don't quite know what's best option is for him as we can't judge his skills.

Abosolutely agreed. It your decision, everybody finds their diffrent kind of 'fun'. Some might not like play as e.g Leopard others might. Think about the team you like most in real life and maybe pick them ?

It's probably also not a great question on a discussion Forum. Since, as Alakagom said people have a different view on what is actually fun and what's boring. I remember a sort of guide on PCM Benelux to what team you should choose. I'll have a look to translate it.

Thanks guys.
I like your views of the thing, because i also like the idea of having a outsider team, and over like 2-3 seasons to be the top contendor.
But im not good to keep doing the same savegame.
because i think 1 season is taking WAY too long.
So any advices on that maybe? |

A season is indeed taking very long. So a few options on this one: You could delete soma races, or download just a light db with only the basics ( not 200 teams and 1000 free riders) from my point of view the ASO.db 2010 was really great for a quick season.

So Continental season in mostly about getting your team promoted if you feel ready.
Your team will be promoted if it's in the 2 first places in the CT ranking. You can only climb in ranks if you score points in CT races. Sponsors will increase the budget if you promote to World tour. To get results in WT races as a CT team you'll have to get a WildCard. You make more chance in getting a WildCard if you had some good resluts earlier on in the season. You should also be carefull when promoting to early. e.g you promote but you still have a " weak" team and you are relegated to Ct again next year. That will decrease sponsor budget and makes the risk in getting bankrupt higher.

I think Liquigas would be a good challenge. They have 2 strong GC contenders, a few young budding sprinters who will have battle for a top 10, but they have no classic riders. I would suggest signing Pellizoti at the start to get a helper for one of the leaders. |

Also Valjavec can be usefull and for smaller team Herrero.
