There is a massive field here in America, as everyone and their dog believes they had a chance in this fairly flat race. First up we have the sprinters stages, with the likes of Kennaugh, Goss and Hushovd leading the charge.
Next up we have probably the most decisive stage, the time trial. Ignatiev is here and is massive favourite, although with Stannard beating him last time out, and with Dempster and Olman making an appearance, Ignatiev is definitely not unstoppable
Finally we finish with two slightly hilly stages, again Ignatiev will be hard to beat, but Kirchen, Craven and Konnovalovas will all still be in with a shot after the time trial, so expect them to make some big moves.

Those hilly stages look flat to me...mind you I doubt they are falt enough for Stannard.
Chances for Red Bull limited in this one, happy to be here I guess is our motto. It would be nice to see a rider make a go of trying to get in some breakaways.
Top class TTer company as you would expect can anyone really beat Ignatiev? First two stages will set up the positions of the TTs that could be important.
Probably a big race for Bacardi this - if it goes well they can perhaps prepare for the Protour next year!

I'm hoping a breakaway gets enough time, and one of my riders is in that group. Without a team leader it shouldn't be too much to ask for my team to be aggressive.

I hope that the rising nature of stage two sees Ignatiev fight for the win, and possible sprint bonus seconds, to help him pull out a lead for the TT and hilly stages to follow. As I've seen time and time again this season, Kirchen is a man to fear, and not that I doubt Ignatiev, but I doubt my teams strength. Saying that, I've had 5 man squads get 1st and 3rd GC positions in the past, so I should have faith. Maybe. |

I've got a few attacking riders here, maybe we can pick up KOM or something. |

I need a top 5 goal here, so i hope the last 2 stages are played hilly rather then flat, although i think the last one most definitely will. Kirchen is almost at the end of his season here. Only Giro dell'Emilia and Japan Cup left.
For the sprint, i hope for Goss who should have a decent team here for support.
@Smows: I hope you wright . Although it will all be very close.

I have to hope in another Tour of Denmark for me here. I have Hushovd, De Gendt and Dall'Antonia here so I have some nice chances for the top 10 overall and for a stage win as well.
Ignatiev is the man to beat though.

Excellent, my sprinters appear to be finally getting into the groove, and winning more!

I remember this happening last season as well, 100% ME seemed to win just about everything at the back end of last season. |

Baaaah... More or less perfect sprint, but still I have to settle for second. Annoying.

Kennaugh did that to Red Bull/Manarelli at Avenir too Thrige I feel your pain!
Great sprint by Arashiro, gives me hope for stage two as well as leadout man Jelloul and Arashiro can both cope with hills. Mind you it may just be too hilly and turn into Ignatiev territory. But third place in such a large field is a boost to the morale for sure.

To bad Goss couldn't come around, might have been better for Kirchen to sprint. Did get the point jersey for now.

Kirylenka nabbing those twenty seconds was very useful, but he doesn't get the yellow jersey which may have given him wings in the TT.
Jelloul was waiting expectantly for Arashiro but Yuki had been dropped! Time for Kilun, Zwizanski and Augustyn to deliver in the TT hopefully moving into the top 40 or so before the crap shoots of the hilly stages. Though I am more than a little concerned at my riders hanging around at the back of the peleton. It is fortunate that countback will not count for much in a race with a TT.

I wonder how my riders managed to fail so hard after being positioned so well. Maybe it was Landaluze on Kairelis's whell with 3kms to go. |

Well, it was looking ok with 8000m to go, but such a long lead out from a still-learning lead out man (Ratto) was bound to fail. Next season he'll be much stronger, and even more so the season after. Still, sitting pretty in the top 10 GC with Ignatiev is just fine for me. Hoping for the win in the TT, and then hold on with some mighty rubbish domestiques. |

Milka isn't riding here, right? De Gendt lost his overall chances in stage 2, he unfortunately lost some time. He had to crash or he had a puncture, damn..
And Thor isn't sprinting so far. I hope he can achieve something here in these last 3 stages..

my biggest hope Terpstra lost time on flat, while he was probably protecting Guillen or what?
I´d never believe that old Ericsson can achieve best place from my riders in stage race...

Looking for a good TT from Dempster on the next stage, and then hopefully he can hold on for the next 2 virtually flat, hilly stages. |

Nice to see Konvolovas up in the front group. Hopefully he can pull out a good result. |
