Any good ideas for PCM.daily's upcoming 2011 DB? This is the place to post them.
Please, do not discuss stats in this thread. We have a separate thread for that. Fixing bugs is a good suggestion, but needless to mention since we're doing our best to fix as much as possible from the Bug Report thread. |

Maybe just a few more North American teams to fill up the American Conti races which are usually filled with American and Scandinavian teams (who probably should be at those races) based on the 2010 db. Although this means a few less races for the Scandinavian teams.
Also adding the Tour de Beauce would be appreciated (if SpiderTech will be in the 2011 version) |

One small suggestion: A thing that is always annoying me is, the names of young riders. Some of the danish names are female! And just silly in general. Perhaps invest a few hours in making more realistic list of names for the young riders |

A couple things I do with your databases that would be nice if you did it first
1. What about linking the team specific equipment to their team ID's in Dyn_teams?
example:
ID Wheels Frame Helmets
46 Garmin - Cervélo 39 39 39
change to:
46 Garmin Cervélo 46 46 46
2. If you are making equipment for each team, why not only put in World, National, Tour specific, and generic equipment in the Equipment selection screens? Remove the huge amount of extra equipment needed in CM_Textures and Meshes.
3. When adding new teams, why not use some of the dropped Id's? (7,11,15,23,29,36,41,48,4956,57,62,67 etc...)
food for thought
As much as I like this idea, what do you do once you have selected a leader helmet for a specific race? Will you be able to select the hidden equipment again afterwards?

Using the C1, C2, and C3 function for your team works for three riders on your team.
C1 is the Teams helmets, wheels, and frames;
C2 is for one of my riders if he is a category leader....helmet,frame, wheels;
C3 likewise, or to choose the National Champions helmet, frame and wheels.
When your rider is no longer a Tour Leader, he is a C1 again.
This is the way I play
As of yet, I have not been able to make all the riders get their own equipment....
Had forgotten about that. Thanks. |

#2: We can't add races which haven't been made. Concerning the North American teams: We're trying to keep the size of the DB somewhat limited, c. 100 teams. This means that we can't have a perfect line-up of teams. You need the PPDB for that.
#3:
1) It's technical, meaning that it's a bit useless for everyone except you and me That said - if we revise the equipment setup as planned, I'll keep that in mind.
2) I disagree with this. First of all, the equipment would still be in CM_Textures / CM_Meshes (I don't quite understand that part of the argument), second of all, people like to change their equipment, e.g. when they make a custom team. Some what also find Katusha's frame better looking even though they are playing with Sky.
That said, I'd love to clean up the equipment menu. It's a bit of a mess as it is now, but I'm not sure if there'll be time to rebuild it. We'll see - it also depends on who I have available in the DB team.
3) We will. For technical reasons, we didn't do it for the Expansion Pack.
#4: Never really thought of changing that. Again, it's mostly an issue for people interested in changing / adding stuff to the DB, which is quite few. I'll keep it in mind.
#5: In fact, we got rid of the Danish female names for the last version of the Expansion Pack - just make sure that you have the right Local.cdb. |

Tour de Beauce: 6th page I think. https://www.pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthr...start=100
And I just meant like 3 or 4 more teams but it really isn't my descision. |

#10: 3-4 teams from USA, another couple of teams from Denmark, some more from Germany. Suddenly, it was a PPDB-like DB.
I want a rather quick DB. It's already slow enough as it is, so adding more teams is a no-go. |

hows about adding some of the awesome fantasy jerseys (if the jersey makers are cool with it) onto some of the custom teams in game? |

It's a good suggestion, but I'm not really pro it - for a very simple reason: We may end up overwriting people's pre.installed custom jerseys. |

Why manager in some team cant change a team after the season ?? Like in fifa , you should sing a contract whit team when the contract is over you can change a team or you can renew whit your curent team . After few season I somethimes would like to change a team but i cant becuase this is inposible in pro cycling manager but in other games or in reality you can do thease .
sorry for bad eanglish (: |

This thread is about the PCM Daily 2011 DB and not the next PCM.
These kind of manager things can`t be changed with a database.
You have to hope that Cyanide changes something in the next editions, although it`s quite unrealistic that they change much.
If you go bankrupt then you can change teams, but there are no contracts at all for managers.

I know that it's not possible, but it would be great if db can be made for PCM09 too

This might be even harder than 2011 jerseys. Several jerseys aren`t published before January/February. The equipment couldn`t be unsure until the first race. |
