These races were made for Ignatiev and he is here, so he is favourite, although the nature of stage 2 means that anyone could have a shot of taking the overall if they time their attacks right. You'll just have to wait and see

Yeah Ignatiev has a really long TT to get his teeth into, his rivals do not look strong enough to do anything on paper.
C'mon Clement/Craven/Kirylenka surprise me
Scary thought is Kip the best sprinter here? (hmm Trusov perhaps!) |

Yeah, not a great selection, although there are a few between 80 and 76:
Kip
Vanderaerden
Van Loocke
Manan
Bozic
Trusov
Chavanel
Uugunbayar
Guarnieri
Dall'Antonia
so don't expect a walkover

Nazon for the sprints (77 btw ).
Gajek is riding on home soil, so it would amaze me if he would finish last, but you never know! That lvl of suckage has never been shown before.
For the overall, i'm counting on Smukulis. So let's hope he goes with the favorites on the hills this time (something he has never done before this season).

Wouldn't surprise me (but it would be very nice indeed) if Ignatiev gets mixed in with the sprints. He usually seems to.

Gajek got a top 10, that's like dividing by zero!
If the races goes in this trend for me, than i might have a good race.

Get the 6 seconds from a bonus on the next stage, win the TT, and top 5 on the last stage to secure the points jersey. Yeah, that'll do Mikhail.

He don't like being on same team as Ricco
By the way just so that Kip has no chance of winning stage five I will do this:
Stage 5 and points jersey predo:
1 Kip |

Good sprinting by Gajek, almost had it, to bad he couldn't hang on, but that's what a lead-out should be.

One stage left, Hoogerland should be able to hold on to his 5th place in the GC, can´t remember a better GC place for our team. |

Lets be honest everyone was fighting for second place here - Kirylenka has done well to get that! Tinkoff seem to be back to their best, they do love the Time Trial.
Possibly a bit of a reality check for pokerstars - who lets be honest find any race with hills in a test

I´m not sure, if I understand well, but this race suits well for Clement...Ignatiev, Kyrienka and maybe Craven are better, but at least Hoogerland could be behind him - 5th place is much better than 6th

I'm not rly happy with Smukulis here. TT is around the wright level, but his performance on the hills was way to low considering his stamina compared to other riders in that group.
Gajek did surprise me a bit with a second place. If he has a very good last stage he might move up and also take some points in the points rankings.
I'm looking forward more to the upcoming races though. Luxembourg with Kirchen. Transfagaraan with Ricco. Philadelphia with Ricco. And Tre Valli Varesine with both Kirchen and Ricco.
