Whilst the pro- tour boys ride for the Maglia Rosa in Italy, here we have riders fighting for the other pink jersey in Dunkirk. Its one that should revolve around stages 4 and 5 for GC - with a teasing 21km TT which should knock out any non TTers but not enough perhaps to decide the GC.
That will wait for stage 5's nasty circuit which revolves 9 times with the steep short climb of Mount Noir.
Here are the riders starting:

Wiggle with their Giro d'Italia commitments are thread-bare and the support for CTours best TTist Ignatiev is thin with only Hermans the stand out name.
Plenty of TTers are here with Olman, Stannard, Wiggins, Millar amd Grabovski all looking to topple the Russian on stage 4. Plenty of riders will be an all round threat on the unpredictable stage 5. Craven, Clement and Elizen will lead their respective teams and El-Al have numerous threats Konovilinos and Sylvian Chavenal in particular.
In the sprints there will be some tough competition with some of CTours finest in Goss, Vantomme, Van Heerden and Kennaugh will all be looking to land a victory in at least one of the flat stages.
Note: Race Schedule will be two stages tomorrow evening (Friday), two on Saturday amd two on Sunday! |

Chavanel and Konovalovas could do something here. |

Wow, didn't realise I was doing races with less than max riders, but having checked, I'm doing quite a few due to the Giro. Lets hope it doesn't affect Ignatiev's chances.

good sprinting from van heerden and a good gc ride from wiggins or millar would be very satisfactory.

Goss should atleast get a win here while either Bagdonas or Smukulis can do something for the GC. Don't think that hilly stage will change much though. Learning from Tour Med., Goss might actually pull a stunt here to if he gets enough bonification seconds from the flat stages.

Sweet sweet victory. Never thought Lagutin would be the guy to bring it. Weird stage for El-Al, Calzati and Rast are out of it for a good placing, but Chavanel and Konovalovas are still sitting pretty. |

hehe, Lagutin ahead of Iglinsky, Dumoulin and Wallays in bunch sprin...quite weird, but I´m really satisfied so far
and Holloway is doing great hard job - he worked for Mohs in Turkey and now for Dumoulin

Ignatiev is ominously poised then, already nearly having a 20 second gap on his rivals - rivals he will likely all beat on the TT anyway.
And in other news, 100% Me still cant sprint

Grumbles.
I paid 650,000 odd euros, not a million (I think). But even so. I should win. I was told I would win. Damn it.
