Margarita Fullana (3 times mountain bike world champ) was tested positive on Epo. So at the moment they seem to tidy up.
McQuaid : The Spanish government must take this problem more serious. It seems like they totally ignore this doping problem there.
It was the fourth Spanish positive in 3 days.
At least Fullana admitted doping.
But she also said it was the first time and just because of a bad year.
With 38 years now it might be the end of her career, too.

Of course it was. It always is. For everyone.
Let me guess. Did she also use the usual "I doped, but not when I won [insert biggest career win]" excuse?

Not read anything about that.
But as she was tested positive during a training it might be very logical |

The budget should be big enough to stay in ProContinental category. All 18 unsigned riders should stay for the next year too.

BBox... survives?
*prepares to open a bottle of bubbly if that's true*
Also, MB2162, are you seriously telling me that Guatamala have had more positives than Kazakhstan? That's rather interesting.

Kazakhstan only 2? Let's start to counting: Vinokourov + Kashechkin + Fofonov. I think Kazakhstan had minimally 3 dopers in the past 10 years! Czech Republic had at least 4 (3 times Sosenka, once Hruska).. Robbie Hunter counts wrong.

Also this list isn`t really expressive. If you compare the amount of Spanish riders in comparison to German professional riders.
Then the 11 Germans are quite a lot, too.
Would be nice to have a overview over with the amount of professional riders and doped riders of them. Then you have % to compare better.

Now let's just hope BBox/Europcar can get entry into enough ProTour races for Voeckler to get some wins (assuming he stays with them as he said he would). |

I don't think anyone has mentioned this: https://www.cyclin...r-launched
So there will be 18 world-tour teams which will have to be invited to all world-tour events. And, proving for the 80th time that the UCI is stupid, world-tour events can only have a maximum of 4 wildcards.
But you see, the UCI is stupid. Very stupid. Apparently, when they were negotiating this, the UCI talked with the ASO, but not any other race organizers.
Angelo Zomegnan flipped out, and McQuaid, in true McQuaid fashion, came back with: "If he doesn’t want the best 18 teams, his races shouldn’t be on the world calendar. I can’t see why race organisers wouldn’t accept the rules. We have taken their wishes into account. I would hope they accept it.” |

So basically, this is the Pro Tour, but with 18 teams instead of 20.
Also, does this mean that PCM11 will be called World Cycling Manager (WCM)? |
