PPDB was hacked and down/ BACK ON-LINE now

First my apologies of posting this here, but it might be usefull since I know that a lot of PCM Daily-users also enjoy the work at the PPDB-site, where we announced a release of an expanded 2010 version last night.
Minutes after that release the site has been hacked, and more worse: destroyed. Technicians at our provider couldn't help me today, it seems they ruined the forum in a way that also backups will not be accepted. According to the technician the hackers left all datapackages alone, but destroyed all connections between them. Like taking the cement away between the bricks, so it all fell apart and nobody will ever be able to build it up the way it was. Again, according to that technician.
Our wizzkid is on holiday and not expected back within a week or so, that same technician gave a 10% chance that he might have stored some original coding somewhere that could save the history of PPDB.
I'm very sorry for the ones who waited for the release, and moreover for all the ones who enjoyed the communtty through the years to play the game, to chat, talk and even meet and make friends in person.
On top of the bill my account at FileFront, where I placed the new release, seems to be gone as well. In each case I don't have access at the moment, so I can't even provide you with the two links of our latest (and sad, but probably last) work.
For me it all ends here. Sorry for using this forum for this message, my own died yesterdaynight.

What kind of person would do that and for what reason? It defies belief...
That 10% chance gives me hope - after all you've done and been through over the last few years Plakker I don't see you letting f'ckwits like these hackers get the better of you - no matter how you may be feeling at the minute.

That is the worst thing that happened in PCM-History!
I wouldn't say these hackers were some from any PCM-Community, but some bas*ards who pick out random, often visited forums and hack them. It's a shame and those guys are complete idiots with small or nonexistent genitals. |

This is a really sad day. I am also willing to help in anyway, with my limited computer knowledge. But I have a feeling this hacker, was someone that was upset with plakker/PPDB for what I don't know.
This is a tragic day.

Damn what a pathetic action...didn't check the forum the past few days since I was busy with my study. But this news really saddens me, especially cause you put so much blood sweat and tears into the forum over the past years. I hope it'll all turn out fine altough it doesnt look good.

my first thought: "this cant be happening", came home from work, looking forward to new PPDB to download and try today and well the database came out, but at what cost ... words cant describe this terrible feeling inside me, am sorry for you plakker and us the community around ppdb forum. i was there almost 5yrs enjoying the masterpieces in case of PPDB 06 and even greatest PPDB 07 (still best ever built db), spent many nights and days enjoing great careers. you and others made pcm complete new game, best ive evert played and yes i can say it is more than a game for me. changed my life in many ways, in short i was playing pcm 05, than i started to watch on tv, than i started to cycle in real life. and you are the one who was part of this change for sure. remember many hours spent with my mates over lan with your db and awesome unique stat matrix that only ppdb always has. this is a real sad day and i understand fully that after this ***** that some sick**** was capable to do, you are thinking of quit. some **** destroyed yrs of hard work and joy and also bad times and troubles with "cya logic" when you try to get the best from this game and this must be hard times for you now ... even im trying so hard, i cant find the right words to tell you how sad and how sorry am i. hold on mate  |

I saw yesterdayevening that your site was unvailable, but i didn't expect this. You give us the last years beautiful DB's and now happened this.
I understand that you're pissed, but I hope that in a few days you'll find enough energy to strike back.
You made me curious with all your work for an ultimate giant 2011 db. You're child is stolen, and i don't think you let it go this way...
