PCMNorge is finally ready to release our 1998DB. This historical DB will bring you back to 1998 with all teams, riders, jerseys and races from 1998. PCMNorge is very proud to provide you one of the most complete historical DB ever made for PCM. Play with past stars like Marco Pantani, Jan Ullrich, Erik Zabel, Johan Museeuw andre Michele Bartoli or bring future stars like Lance Armstrong and Alessandro Petacchi into the spotlight. You can also play with the same stages they raced in 1998 with hundreds of realistic stages.

- 1998-calendar, with over 200 exclusive stages made only for this DB
- Over 400 new stages compared to the original game
- 300 real scoutable talents
- 150 track rider

- 1997 national champions, so you can find your own 1998-champions
- The real countries to the WC
- Historical results/palmares
- 80 different variants for different races
Installation:
Download and unrar to an own folder and follow the instructions given in the install-file.

Variants
Because of the huge file size with the new stage files, you need to download the variants seperealty form the main pack. As said it's 80 different variants. Notice, some races had more stages in 1998 than in 2010. Therefore some races will get a fex extra stages at the end together with the variant stages. Forexample the Giro d'Italia in 1998 had 23 stages, and 21 today. When playing with the variants the Giro will get the last two stages from the 98 Giro coming after the variant stages are played. This also counts for some other races. Another reason for not including them in the main pack.

We don't have a release date yet.
It's still a lot of stages needed to be done, so stage makers are needed. Please contact if someone wants to help.

The DB is close to release. However, we still need stage makers. So if anyone is interested making some stages for us the DB will be released much faster. Send me a PM if you're interested.
I have the stages in openrunner so yo can download the needed GPX.

We can't upload anything to PCMDaily's server. And the files are probably too big for that anyway. Just download uTorrent (google is your friend) and install. Takes a couple of seconds. Then you can open the torrent file provided here with uTorrent and start the download. Google "how to use a torrent file" for example if wou want to learn more...
We will perhaps upload the entire package to PCMNorge's server later on, we have to sort out some difficulties first.

A review would be nice for me too, to know if there is need for a V2 or not.
However, the strong part of this DB is the races and stages. For me a new calendar with new stages if the most important thing besides teams, riders and jerseys in a historical DB. Also for other DBs. I'm not a graphics guy and I've spend plenty of time to improve stages and upgrade that part of the DB.
