Team Ceramica Flaminia
GAM3R
Before the start I would like to ask, when there is a grammar or drafting mistake write it, because my english is far from best, and it's a god opportunity to learn. Thank you!

Now it's starting, the first day as the manager of Team Ceramia Flaminia. There is much to do, but first about the team. Ceramica Flaminia was founded in 2004, first was based in Italy, but now in Ireland. The team is pro continental, but in two years I want to be in ProTour. Because of the irish connection I would like to sign riders from that country too, and make an irish-italian team.
Now about the members, I need to pick the leaders, luxury team mates and domestiques. Let's see:

Leaders:

Spoiler

img844.imageshack.us/img844/1228/25865714.png Riccardo Riccó

[img-l]https://img822.imageshack.us/img822/6734/ricco.jpg[/img-l]
Birth date: 1/9/1983
Weight: 58 kg
Height: 174 cm
Rider type: Climber

He will be the absolute leader, and when we get invited to the Giro, then he must be prepared to win it, or reach the podium, or the top5. Basicly he is only able to ride from the end of March, but UCI has reduced his ban by two months (ok, it was me, but I need him).

img844.imageshack.us/img844/1228/25865714.png Enrico Rossi

[img-l]https://img834.imageshack.us/img834/7393/rossi.jpg[/img-l]
Birth date: 5/5/1982
Weight: 75 kg
Height: 185 cm
Rider type: Sprinter

The sprinter. Okay not a "Hi, I'm Tyler Farrar, sprinter of team Garmin Transitions" like beast, but I hope that he can win a few stages or races.

img844.imageshack.us/img844/1228/25865714.png Massimiliano Gentili

[img-l]https://img691.imageshack.us/img691/111/gentili.jpg[/img-l]
Birth date: 16/9/1971
Weight: 60 kg
Height: 168 cm
Rider type: Climber

After Riccó he can be the next stage racer who can do something when the mountains are coming, but he is far from the bests.

Protected riders:

Spoiler

img844.imageshack.us/img844/1228/25865714.png Santo Anza

[img-l]https://img291.imageshack.us/img291/3892/anza.jpg[/img-l]
Birth date: 17/11/1980
Weight: 58 kg
Height: 171 cm
Rider type: Fighter

He could be a great rider to be there in the breakaways. He's a real fighter.

img844.imageshack.us/img844/4625/39178132.png Raivis Belohvosciks

[img-l]https://img715.imageshack.us/img715/1996/belohvosciks.jpg[/img-l]
Birth date: 21/01/1976
Weight: 69 kg
Height: 182 cm
Rider type: Time-trialist

He is one of the most experienced rider in the team, and also the one who is not from Italy. He need to be there in the breakaways, and reach podium places in time trials.

img844.imageshack.us/img844/1228/25865714.png Andrea Noé

[img-l]https://img842.imageshack.us/img842/1769/noe.jpg[/img-l]
Birth date: 15/01/1969
Weight: 65 kg
Height: 178 cm
Rider type: Fighter

If Raivis is one of the most experienced rider, then Noé is The most experienced of them in the age of 41. I don't know what can he do in this season, but I hope he would be a useful member of the team.

Thanks, I've changed it.

Later this night I will post the result of the Australian champs, and the first stages of my first race.

Giro della Calabria, Stage 1:

Reggio Calabria - Gioia Tauro: 140.6 km
img185.imageshack.us/img185/120/girocalabrias1.jpg

img185.imageshack.us/img185/7947/girocalabrias1ss1.jpg
The breakaway with 15 riders, Belohvociks is there from Flaminia. The maximum gap was 4 minutes, there was no chance to them, because Lampre and Katusha wanted to win this stage with Petacchi or McEwen.

img153.imageshack.us/img153/3572/girocalabrias1ss2.jpg
The pace was so high, that on the penultimate climb there was a split in the peloton, but in the first group there was all the favorites.

img252.imageshack.us/img252/7964/girocalabrias1ss3.jpg
Before the last climb there is a massive crash in the end of the first group. No important riders in there.

img409.imageshack.us/img409/4222/girocalabrias1ss4.jpg
At the top of the last climb my riders moved to the front to create a train for Rossi, there is only 30 riders who can win this stage. Anza leads, behind him Fumagalli, then Rossi. He doesn't look to bad, but he is not in super form.

img185.imageshack.us/img185/7891/girocalabrias1ss5.jpg
3 km to go, Anza start sprinting, Fumagalli losing contact, things looks not good for Rossi. Maybe Anza for the win? Lorenzetto is there from Lampre, the others haven't too many chance.

img529.imageshack.us/img529/5782/girocalabrias1ss6.jpg
But wait! Palumbo goes from Acqua, he is very fast and already in front of Rossi, but Anza still leads. Can Palumbo reach him?

img529.imageshack.us/img529/6205/girocalabrias1ss7.jpg
No! He started accelerating to late. First stage, first victory for the team, first victory for Anza. Seems like he will be our rider for the sprinter jersey. 2nd Palumbo, 3rd McEwen.

Result:

1. Santo AnzaCeramica Flaminia3:25:14
2. Giuseppe PalumboAcqua & Sapone
3. Robbie McEwenTeam Katusha
4. Mirco LorenzettoLampre - Farnese Vini

Giro della Calabria, Stage 2:

Palmi - Palmi: 165.6 km
img828.imageshack.us/img828/3061/girocalabrias2.jpg

img828.imageshack.us/img828/4820/girocalabrias2ss1.jpg
Now it's a 11 men breakaway, with full of average riders, but with full or morale.

img823.imageshack.us/img823/539/girocalabrias2ss2.jpg
At the first mountain sprint there are some riders in the break who can't go with the others.

img801.imageshack.us/img801/9782/girocalabrias2ss3.jpg
Cannone is setting a brutal pace on the penultimate climb, because that is the only way to drop the sprinters and win with Anza the sprinter jersey.

img716.imageshack.us/img716/1081/girocalabrias2ss4.jpg
With 7 or 8 km to go the breakaway has just got only 30 seconds. And the Flaminia train is working.

img716.imageshack.us/img716/6788/girocalabrias2ss5.jpg
3 km, the sprint starts, and in the peloton there is no real sprinter.
There are still some rider on the front with a minimal lead.

img529.imageshack.us/img529/3880/girocalabrias2ss6.jpg
1 km, that was for the five. Roche launches the real sprint, Anza answers behind Rossi.

img245.imageshack.us/img245/6149/girocalabrias2ss7.jpg
Head-to-head. Roche or Anza? Anza or Roche?

img828.imageshack.us/img828/3695/girocalabrias2ss8.jpg
And again, the winner is Santo Anza! Now the sprint jersey is getting real close. 2nd Roche, 3rd Rossi.

Giro della Calabria, Stage 4:

Chiaravalle - Reggio Calabria: 242.1 km
img202.imageshack.us/img202/3829/girocalabrias4.jpg

img688.imageshack.us/img688/389/girocalabrias4ss1.jpg
There is a massive breakaway with 9 riders, containing Brutt, Reda, Carrara, Agnoli. Because of the long stage I don't wanted to make my team tired, what resulted that there was a 10 minutes gap between the breakaway and the peloton on halfway.

img688.imageshack.us/img688/340/girocalabrias4crash.jpg
It started raining what caused several crashes.

img44.imageshack.us/img44/6442/girocalabrias4ss2.jpg
On the hill before the last sprint there was only four rider together, but Reda wasn't able to hold the tempo. The gap was there still 6 minutes.

img843.imageshack.us/img843/7093/girocalabrias4ss3.jpg
On the next climb Carrara has attacked. There was no chance to Agnoli and Brutt to go with him. It seemed like, that today is one of the best day in his career.

img838.imageshack.us/img838/2599/girocalabrias4ss4.jpg
Meanwhile in the peloton there was a high tempo too. BMC and Ag2r had set the pace. Maybe for Kroon and Roche?

img843.imageshack.us/img843/6125/girocalabrias4ss5.jpg
5 km to the peloton, but Carrara is still 4 minutes before them, and between there is also Brutt and Agnoli.

img843.imageshack.us/img843/1521/girocalabrias4ss6.jpg
3 km before the finish, and Kroon attacking! Can someone answer?

img838.imageshack.us/img838/7459/girocalabrias4ss7.jpg
Yes! Roche goes to, but a bit late.

img571.imageshack.us/img571/9845/girocalabrias4ss8.jpg
Anza is in trouble, but tries to go too. Before him is Gentili. Forward Kroon catch Brutt and Agnoli. Carrara is still in front, he is going now to the overall win.

img251.imageshack.us/img251/4446/girocalabrias4ss9.jpg
Stage for Carrara, but can he win this race?

img375.imageshack.us/img375/6771/girocalabrias4ss10.jpg
No, Kroon is 2nd, Roche 3rd with +2:04 and +2:18 which is not enough for Carrara. And where is Anza?

img571.imageshack.us/img571/3143/girocalabrias4ss11.jpg
9th, +3:19 which means that he isn't on the podium, but hey, he is the winner of the sprinter jersey, so the objective is reached!

Kroon won the Giro della Calabria in my game too.

Good job getting the points jersey and keep it up.

Yeah, I saw it because I always read your story Smile Kroon is in good form. I'm curious about how many similarities will it be in smaller races like that. For exmaple next in G.P. Costa degli Etruschi. McEwen will be a favorite Smile
