Breakaway FTW! None of the favorites wants to take the yellow jersey so 'early'

He wasn't in any breakaway so far, probably waiting for this stage...

Looks like Evans could get the yellow jersey, maybe Thomas.
The stage will probably end in a breakaway, and somebody with no possibilities in the GC will take the stage, and all the favorites will reach the finish in a group of 30-50 riders. |

I see this one ending like the Andorra stage last year. With a breakaway winning and the favourites not having the balls to attack. |

Same.
It's really not a hard stage at all.

I think that some of the favorites need to attack and that a breakaway wouldn't be allowed to get the stage and the yellow yersey. If a smaller group(50) man should finish, i would bet on Nicolas Roche. Surely it's too steep for Hagen?
But afterall this is the tour. Breakaway wins by 10 minutes.

I'm with most people, breakaway.
It's more of an appetiser for what is to come. However some opportunist close on GC could attack on the climb and take yellow. (You listening Thomas? )

Break victory, Evans moves into yellow, but no GC favorites lose anything.
Basically the Arcalis again. |

Basically the Arcalis again. Arcalis is like de Col de Mortirolo compared to this climb.
Although Arcalis is very easy, it's nowhere near as easy as this one |
