Our first 100% French stage, quel plaisir!

Fun facts: Reims has held a tour stage 10 times before, and is usually celebrated with Champagne, seeing as we are in the Champagne region!

Farrar will finish unless he has another crash but will Hushovd have any respect from anyone. Thats the real question.

Why wouldn't he?
He didn't work today, but in the grand scheme of things, thats little.

well yes. But Hushovd will have respect unless he does something really stupid. Which as of yet in his career he's not done. I dislike him, but I respect his talent (which he does have a lot of)

Then you actually not have Hushovd to blame, but Cancellara and Saxo Bank....
It was a great ride from Hesjedal, shame he wasn't strong enough to hold it to the finish. Simply said; he wasn't strong enough, face it |

meh, even if Hushovd did work his breakaway was doomed. Nice guy, he'll win a stage some day.

Yes but if Cancellara won it wouldn't be a problem. He worked for it. Hushovd sat there and just sprinted in the last 50 metres. i mean Hesjedal deserved it but basically Hushovd stole a win. When Hesjedal rejoined the group I was rooting for Hesjedal, Thomas or Cancellara because they took time on the front and actually worked for it. At 10km it was inevitable that Hesjedal would get caught.

Correction - Hushovd did more relaying than Thomas, specifically in closing down Cancellara when a gap arose. There was no reason for Hushovd to relay, he was strong enough to make that group, and what he did once there makes perfect tactical sense.

Thomas left Hushovd's wheel once after they broke away, and that was to follow Hesjdal's sprint with 500m to go, Hushovd worked more than him.
