Fun fact of the day: Bernard Hinault won here in 1980 in a TT using the Spa Francorchamps route. He retired in the mountains though.
Now, should be a more interesting stage..

A lot depends on the pace of the peloton really. Hopefully it will be taken to aggressively, and teams won't be too preoccupied with reserving energy ahead of Tuesday's cobbles.
Someone like Cavendish is unlikely to make the finish, but if Columbia arent careful, Hushovd might - and even if Thor isnt sprinting at 100%, a Top 5 placing tomorrow would effectively kill off Cavendish's Green jersey hopes.

I think that it will not be Cav's day at all. Someone like Freire could take the win, but don't be surprised if Rojas is in contention.

Did I mention Hesjedal could win too. If it turns out to not be a sprinters stage he could be the guy for Garmin. Tommorow is a must watch for me with some of my favourite riders all having a chance to win.

Don't be so quick to dismiss Cavendish. It'll be a harder day for him, but I think if his team work well with him, he'll make the finish.
Having said that, i'm predicting an attack on the climb that will make it.

I think it'll be a long break that wins, because some teams won't chase in case they drop their sprinters.
I wonder if Kloden will go, since he lost almost 3 minutes today. |

Well if he does get over that last hill with the main group I don't think he could manage to sprint after all the work he will have to do to get over the climb with the group. He may finish with the group but I think no chance at winning tommorow.

Klöden was given the same time as the rest of the peloton.
Tomorrow's stage has Freire written all over it. |

There is more little hills and I think that will waver his ability to WIN.

Plus, this being the Tour. Nobody will attack heavily
If this was the Giro I'd give Cavendish 0.000 chance |

I'd probably agree with you.
The giro is a different style of racing, the tour is very controlled.

Wouldn't be surprised should it end in a mass sprint. Not nessecarily with the big guys, but a big group should settle this between them.
