I have played PCM 2010 all day today, various stages, tours, career, etc. Simming and 3D mode and with a few different real name database found in the download section. And for some reason during hard mountain stages for the most part Mr. Cadel Evans wins or is right there at the finish for every stage. Unlike PCM 2009 where it used to be Alberto Contador. I also simmed the Tour de France in stage race mode, and Cadel beat all the Pro Tour Competition (Contador, Menchov, Sastre, Schlecks, Armstrong, etc.) by an overall time of 4 minutes back to 2nd Andy Schleck, and 6 minutes to 3rd Alberto Contador. Is this just me, or have you experienced the same thing?

Well Contador owned in the one mountain stage I played. That was the Criterium Intl. for the record. If its bugging you lower one of his resistance, Stamina, or recovery by 1 or 2.

haha, yep thats it, I checked australia, and not united states. Now some aussie is watching lance win the tour over and over again, haha.

Really funny, at my simmed Tour de Suisse (detailed), Evans even won all bunch sprints (20+) of hilly stages (in front of Sanchez, Valverde etc). |

Haha finally, wish i had your version. Ok being a bit biased as im Australian but in my PCM 09 no matter what form, fitness etc, i cannot win the giro or tour in season mode, and thats on normal. If i play a one off tour i can win, but never in season mode. Unfortunately i think we may have seen the best of Cadel on tour. |

Even with max fitness in the Vuelta?
Maybe you somehow spill too much energy somewhere... idk, can't say I'm experienced with 09 and GT's in season mode.
You may be right about Cadel, but on the other hand, he's looking really strong since the World Champs, and including that race. I don't expect him to make the podium in the Tour myself, but if there's one year where he may surprise everybody it has to be this year. Because he has been amazing after already being written off basicly. |

Cadel Evans is a bit of a monster in this. Playing through a career as Columbia I had five riders in the Australian Championships first race. It's a huge race, over 200km. Still, something happened early on, less than 20km into the race and the peloton briefly split pretty much in half (so about 25 men in each). I had my four stronger guys (including Rogers) in the front group so started pulling on the front along with a couple of Sky riders and we pulled the group away which meant that we left behind a few dangerous riders. Anyway, Evans spent pretty much the next 180km riding ALONE about 3-5 minutes behind the lead group and a few ahead of the trailing group.
Then when the lead group started breaking down I still had Rogers and Goss left with O'Grady (who eventually won from Goss in a sprint) and one of the Sky riders.
Somehow after riding alone across undulating roads for 180km, Evans powered back to finish in 8th place overall, steaming past the tiring guys in the front group who hadn't done that much work throughout the race.
He's superhuman.
Sky have the money but the other Brits kept the passion.

Evans winning, Conta 8 minutes behind, Devolder 6th place, and Armstrong 37th, 1 hour back ?????

well i simulated tdf 3 times and evans won all 3 of them because the pave stage there always conta andy lance and other loose 2 minutes to him he manages to be in top 10-15 of the stage , and after that he just stays with the favourites winning tdf around 1 minute ahead of the 2nd

This sounds so so bad, the AI seems to be very bad this year. Does everybody experience this??? 8 min. down to Contador is the most unralistic result I have seen in PCM since 2005. |

So from one Tour where Contador didn't perform, you conclude that the AI is very bad?
There can be several reasons:
1) Bad form
2) Crashes
3) Stats
... a lot of other reasons than the AI. |

I Thought it was just one exampel of something that had happened several times. But I allso aksed if others experienced the same thing, because it sounds unrealistic. |
