Riders to follow:
| ***** | Frank Schleck | | **** | Robert Gesink, Alex Pluchkin, Yaroslav Popovych | | *** | Janez Brajokovic, Jerome Coppel, Emanuele Sella | | ** | Patrick Sinkewitz, Jose Angel Gomez Marchante, Cameron Mayer, Michael Van Stayen | | * | Heinrich Haussler, Mark Renshaw, Franco Pellizotti, Tejay Van Garderen, Mauricio Ardila |
The route this year looks a lot like the one from 2010, with 7 stages, including a high mountain finish, plus a short prologue. All the riders that finished on the podium last year, Schleck, Gesink and Popovych, are again riding here, with the Accumalux rider having a great chance to retain his title. Pluchkin, who finished 9th last year seems to be a lot stronger this year and he might be a podium candidate as well as many other strong puncheurs and climbers.
Schleck and Gesink should dominated the race when it comes to the hilly stages, with Sinkewitz and Van Garderen looking also strong, but they will most likely lose some valuable time in the mountain stage. There the main favorites are going to be the four riders that have the most chances to win this year's Paris - Nice, Schleck, Gesink, Popovych and Pluchkin, plus some of the World's best climbers that are present here such as Sella, Gomez Marchante, Henao Montoya or Pellizotti.
For the sprints 3 names seem to have something about the rest and those are Meyer, Van Stayen and Haussler, who all have some strong riders to lead them out in the sprints: Bazajev, Sieberg and Drujon. Renshaw and Duque plus the home sprinters, Sonnery and Mondory, should also figure in the sprints, while Coppel will be looking to bring Auber, who are leading the team rankings after Qatar, some other important points with a good performance in the opening time - trial.

And that is exactly what was intended for this race. Now Coppel just needs to repeat in the Tour and everyone will be happy!

I was pretty disappointed not seeing Van Stayen in Sieberg's wheel. If he would have been able to follow the German he would have probably won the stage

Meyer seem to be leading out Bazajev in the sprint. Decent results so far.

Oh this feels nice. I wasn't expecting anything out of Paris-Nice with my best squads either in Italy or Spain. I was looking to search for my riders in the breakaways but suddenly Duque wins a sprint and delivers our first victory ever in the ProTour.
Unexpected is the word I'm looking for. We could already retire from Paris-Nice. We've done more than I had imagined we could

Once again a nice performance from Sonnery... Seems Bernaudeau needs some sprinting training next season to become a good leadout... Bileka also in top 10. Hope to see more of this.

Popovych in yellow
Now keep it all the way, and I'll be a very, very happy manager.

Heh, lots of Philips in the breakaway - both ex(es) and a current rider.
Other than that, the usual invisibility from my team. Luckily, in this case, that's not bad as Rodriguez was in the front group anyway. |

I find it very interesting that so far Paris-Nice is being dominated by some of the teams that are expected to be involved in the relegation fight
