The team is of course Indervalle - Frugos in the sunny climes of Columbia. It is quite a young team that like the mountains, but a few of the oldies can sprint a bit also.
The Team:
The Sponsor Goals:
We have also managed to sign some scondary sponsors, which I am very suprised at because with my last team i couldn't sign any, but here they are:
The board have expressed their feelings towards new arrivals this January and have stated that i may bring in any riders i feel are needed. They did however stress for me to contract at least 1 Columbian rider. I have in my mind who i will bring and am close to finishing some deals and they will be presented when they sign on the dotted line.
Our goals center around mountains this year and i hope one or two of our signings will aid to acheiving those goals, if we fail in reaching agreement then i feel that Calderón, Jaramillo and Ibáñez will provide sufficient firepower to give us descent results.
First up is an important race for the sponors: Vuelta al Táchira

We will have to see Justin
Time to announce 2 new signings. These riders were part of my old team and showed themselves well in training and in race days. One is a very young Dutch sprinter, and the other is a young British cobble riding, time-trialler.
These 2 were presented soon after my arrival at Benteng also, so it isn't hard to tell that i rate them highly. I have no doubt that Michael will become a great sprinter and Ian will become a great domestique on both cobblestones and in the time-trials, although i doubt he will be seeing many cobbles this year.
Next will be Stage 1 of the Vuelta al Táchira

good luck getting any stage wins in the south american calendar. pretty much every south american team has better climbers than you do
and Justin....of course he will. PCMDaily.com rules state that one out of every two stories must feature one of the Ardila brothers |

little question, is there a way to remove the circles under riders as i don't remember seeing them in other screens??
The Riders
Stage 1/14, Circuito Ciudad de Barquisimeto
This may look completly flat but it isn't there are little hills every 10kms in this criterium opener to the Vuelta al Táchira. The big favourites for this stage are Alberto Loddo, Juan Pablo Forero, and Anthony José Brea. Some teams have brought big climbers to this tour which limits our opportunities to breakaways as John Fredy García's sprinting isn't anything compared to that of Loddo's.
The stage, as i said earlier this is a criterium start to the 2007 tour, and hopefully the most boring of the race, as nothing happened all day, no attacks, no fake attacks, etc. There were a couple of puntures but not to any big names.
A very colourful bunch, the only thing to keep me occupied until the sprint.
The big question mark today was over Alberto Loddo as he sat dead last in the peleton from the start right up to the sprint. I even checked at 3.5kms to go and he was still the last man in the peleton. It was only when the sprint started when i noticed he had got into a train very quickly.
There are many trains in the sprint today.
Travel & business have set up their train on the left as we look at it with Arias Pérez leading out Granjel Cabrera and on his wheel is García. Loteria have their train set up in the middle with Chachon leading out Garcia Rincon and he has potential underdog Castillo on his wheel. Sella also get in on the action with Donadello leading out Brea and danger man Forero, Loddo has made his way up to the front finally, you can see him 6th man in the Sella train. Can he fight his way through them all???
No Forero wins!!
Garcia maybe should've stayed on Granjel Cabrera's wheel a bit longer, but he was right on top of him so felt he should go. In the end he finished behind him.

I believe it's the \ key that takes out those circles. but I think it only works during replays.
I'm not sure about any of that though |

thanks isso, i will check it out
We are presenting a new rider now and we're keeping it Colombian. It isn't exactly a suprise who we have chosen to sign as he is a young rider, who is very good up the mountains. Anyway the rider:
We have signed Alex for one thing, mountains. He is amazing up the lopes and for such a young rider, he can only get better. He has been given 'Leader' status and I'm sure he will be a very capable leader of the team as he shows great determination and overall leadership qualities.
Next up: Stage 2 of Vuelta al Táchira

I'm talking about the button just to the left of the number 1. and you can't really complain to cyanide. it's the english who use different keyboards (and people from some regions in southern belgium and northern france use yet another keyboard)

thanks isso will be edited and the button you talk about isn't next to the number 1
it is next to the letter 'z' stupid different keyboards, but at least it's there so i can try
EDIT: Plakker says the " button does the trick but he said it was next to the Enter button... it isn't
it's above the 2 why can't everyone just have the same keyboards, i will try both anyway

Stage 2, El Tocuyo - Quibor - El Tocuyo TTT
A fairly long TTT today which could turn out to be our downfall before the tour has even started, as I am hopeless at organising the riders during a TTT. People were saying I should let my assistant take control but I wasn't having that, I was going to organise them, my way. We were the 3rd team to set off and to be honest our squad is hopeless at time trials in the first place (stats between 54-65 most in 50's) The big favourites set off 2nd today, but they weren't the winners.
The team with their heads down working hard
We didn't win, but we didn't come last so i took that as a morale victory.
Plus we lost our 5th man with 2kms to the finish so we had to wait for our wasted rider to finish before posting a time, if he had finished with us then we would have set the fastest time, as it turned out we posted the 2nd fastest, 20secs slower than the leaders. For some reason They have him as the same time as the rest of our riders, so i don't know how the times were worked out

We have signed a new rider to the club. He is very young and excels in the mass sprints. He is very fast and also multi-lingual which will aid his settling in process. He is...
I thought this was a great signing for the club. The board didn't. Thay told me if i don't buck up my ideas they will have no alternative but to search for a manager elsewhere. When i asked them why they didn't like the signing, they told me that this was their lub, a Colombian club, and so far i have brought in 4 riders, and only 1 of them was Colombian.
They moaned for ages stating that they want to keep the clubs roots, and that from now on they will only accept Colombian signings to the club, until the end of the season where they may allow 1 or 2 riders from elsewhere.
So from now on, if i wish to sign any more riders, they will be Colombian.
totally forgot this guy had signed, only arrived after Stage 2, i think i accepted him about 5 days previous (game time). I definatley accepted him before sisse's tips so sorry about that but there will be no more non-Colombians signing from now

Stage 3, Carora - Valera
A flat stage where Loddo is again the favourite, but we have big plans to cause an upset today. The finish is slightly uphill with gradients around 1.5%, it isn't much but we have noticed that García is the best up the hills out of all the sprinters. We hope this will outweight his problems with sprinting itself. Unfortunatley the organisers only consider him a 1 star favourite, but it's a start.
Anyway Ivan Castillo won the 1st intermediate sprint. Shortly after the sprint a break formed, with 5 riders.
Aranda, Torres Castro, Anacona, Vélez, López Marin
These 5 rode extremley well and worked together at all time, but the sprinter teams are always interested in a bunch sprint so with 75kms to the finish the gap starts to decrease from 5'10". However the break are getting closer and closer to the finish, and with 20kms to go, the gap is at 2'00", it will be very close.
With 7kms to go the gap is at 1'10", will they pull them back in the sprint or will it be a victory for the breakaway????
Forero wins in his points jersey!!!!!!!!!
The breakaway were collected, as you can see (the 3 guys in the middle), approximatley 0.1 kms to the finish (the other 2 caught with 0.8kms), perfectly timed by the sprinter teams.
García was on Forero's wheel all the way but could get around him, he did finish a very respectable 5th though, and as i thought the little rise at the finish helped him acheive that position. Also luckily for us Jaime Suaza a very good mountains rider punctured with around 100kms to go, and couldn't make it back on, so he has lost an awful lot of time for the coming stages.

Juan Pablo Forero now leads the points classification outright as he had the jersey on loan from Rincon, and Forero now leads the GC, so him and Rincon will swap jerseys for tomorrows stage.
