What about a small poll?
I'd like to hear from you what you think about the training camps? Please answer booth questions.
1 Do you consider them as a cheat?
2 Do you use them? (If so which ones). |

You do know that there is a poll feature...
As for me, they all are cheap, unless you consider them the video game version of doping. |

I don't really get why people see a difference between pre-season/leisure camps and the rest. To me, what matters is that the AI doesn't use them. If I use them, I'd gain an unfair advantage over the AI - therefore, I don't.
It should be noted, though, that I don't care whether other people use them |

Yes + Yes. Only pre-season and only when managing a small team to win TdU and gain some money without getting continental points. |

The difference is that pre-season and leisure doesn't affect attributes (as you obviously know) and it's quite real to me that you send your riders to a camp for 10 days and after that they are in better shape (not becoming great climbers from nothing for egzample).
Then you shouldn't be using custom training schedules eighter and you should not renewing contract with your top riders cuz as far as I know AI teams doesn't do it as well.

You are wrong. It affects an attribute: The Fitness
In reality teams do use pre-season training camps but as long as the AI does not use them in the game, you do get an advantage. Why else would it be possible to win the TdU with a Conti-Team?
BTW: AI does use training schedules and does renew contracts with their top riders. |

If you read the manual then you would know that there's 12 attributes (at least acording to the game producer but I believe you know better) and fitness is not one of them nor morale is.
You're saying that AI teams are using training schedules and I'm sure they do but if you read my post again and this time you do it carefully then you will see that I said "custom training schedules" do you reckon that each team is working for 15 minutes on their own individual schedules before they start playing? If so where are they in game folders? Could you send me location? I'd like to see if there are better than mine.
You're also saying that AI teams are renewing contracts with their top riders. Then how would you explain the fact that after 1st season I managed to get Cavendish, Cancellara and Contador to my team? (I can provide you with game save if you doubt it but I don't think that will be necessary as everybody knows that is quit easy to get top riders to your team).
Looking forward to hear from you.

You're being a horses ass. Contador was resigned by Astana in my latest career. Play more than one career, ever think it was just a coincidence that they didn't resign him?
Anyways
1.Yes
2.No
Your regular schedule and correct race preparation should lend you a chance to be in good shape to win a race if it's aimed for. Also, using a training camp to win the TDU is cheating because none of those riders are in good form, just yours.

1) It's a bad comparison. You use training schedules, the AI use training schedules. You use training camps, AI doesn't. There's a clear difference.
2) They do renew with their top riders. Yes, some are let go, but the same goes for real life.
Again, using a leisure or a pre-season camp means that you gain an advantage over the AI. Isn't it an advantage to be in better form than the AI? And isn't it an advantage to be able to lower the 'tiredness' (I forgot the word for it), so your riders are able to get in topform again?
There's no doubt that it's realistic to use it, but I'm just saying that I'd rather not, because the AI doesn't use any kind of training camp. To be able to race on equal terms therefore means that I have to give up training camps. |

Long enough I guess. I've played 3 seasons with CCC, then another 5 with same team, then 1 season with Saxo Bank and now I'm finishing my 1st season with Cervelo Testing Team + PM07 and 08 before. But that's not a point - the fact is that you can have all best riders after few seasons (if you only have enough money) way then Cancellara, Contador, Armstrong, Cavendish, Boonen and Schlecks don't ride for one team if this is so real? |

it's 'fatigue' if that's of any use to you.
still, i consider it the games doping although all top teams do that so maybe not. but ultimately, it's your own conscience you're fighting, no-one elses. if you think it's cheating then you won't get enjoyment out of the game. if you don't then play on

If you complain so much why do you give contracts to these riders?or why you play this game?
Can you show me a perfect game?

There's a difference between "not all" and and "tiny %". Look at the real life:
Boonen - in Quick Step since 2003
Cancellara - Saxo Bank since 2006
A.Schleck - Saxo Bank since 2005
F.Schleck - Saxo Bank since 2003
Armstrong - 7 years in U.S. Postal
It looks like cyclists doesn't change teams every year. Now play 2 seasons and check how many riders stayed in their original teams. |

Carlos Sastre, just transferred in real life. Contador transferred once already. Wiggins transferred, Vande Velde has transferred in the past few years. Hincapie just transferred, as did Cadel Evans. Karsten Kroon transferred last season, as did Allesandro Ballan. It looks like you have no point. Am I wrong?
