Well,now it´s my turn to make a story.It´s not my first one,in pcmDaily is,hope to have success and that you like it.
First of all,we have 3 new sponsors for 2010 and because it´s my first year as team manager,they decided not push hard with goals.
Our january calender.
The team director accepted my quest to sign some new riders to strenght the team,here they are.
Here you can see some of the riders.I will focus on spanish and portuguese riders,mostly will be young future gunners.
Next will be Australia CR and NC. |

Thanks guys.I will play on HARD and DB is Pcmdaily10.
Opening stage from the Tour of Australia.Stage made for sprinters,we take some fine riders to Australia,i count with the portuguese NC Cardoso for a good place on the final GC.Here is our squad for the tour.
There is not much to tell about the first stage,few riders were on E1,our P.Merino was there too.They were catched by peloton on the hill before finish.
But all what it matters is the final sprint and see who wins and will start in yellow tomorrow.With 5kms to go,our PNC sprinter Cardoso goes to the front,he feels good and it looks good..... Durán leads...
With the 1km mark on his sight,Durán starts the sprint but Cardoso waits..is there something wrong? Bennati,freire,R.McEwen,they are all in front...
OHH my god...Cardoso goes like a rocket,McEwen follows him,is looking dangerous for Cardoso....
It will be decided between this 2 riders,Cardoso or McEwen..
Cardoso is alone?where is McEwen?
McEwen is already on the finish line........
....but its too late for him because this one goes to Cardoso,well done.
We could not be more happy then now,Cardoso was brilliant,his first Pro Tour race,first PT Team and his first PT win in his career....congratulations Cardoso. |

kinda xconfused me at first but then read over it again and realized cardoso won. BTW nice screens and finish line shot surrounded by the team graphics and what not

After the great start we had yesterday,we hope to do the same today,this stage is perfect for that.
Today the E1 is with 15 riders,one of them is our Durán,he will try to get some points on the only mountain today.
At the top,Durán manages to pass in 1st,followed by Riblon(ALM)
In the end of downhill,Masciareli(ASA) and Terpstra(MIL) attack,Durán goes after...
...but only Durán manages to stay with Terpstra..........
...they reach the last int.sprint and Terpstra starts to sprint,with Durán on his tail....
..and manages to pass 1st.
Both riders reach the 10kms mark and peloton is still behind...
....but all hopes go down at the 5kms mark,when peloton catch both riders,but it was nice to see this E1.
Peloton start the sprint with Cardoso being a little behind,our leader BenÃtez looks good,Freire(RAB)comes behind from Cardoso...
Cardoso looks fast and manages to get the wheel from BenÃtez...
Freire comes very quick from right side,Bennati(LIQ)from the left...
Freire is ahead,great speed,looks like Bennati will pass Cardoso...
Who will be 2nd and 3rd?Cardoso takes freire´s wheel...
Freire(RAB) wins 2nd stage,Cardoso(FOT) is 2nd and Bennati(LIQ) looses 3rd place for Napolitano(KAT) over the line.
Stage result.
Cardoso still in yellow.
Durán is first at the mountain.
I´m very happy with the stage today,the team is in all fronts and hope Cardoso hang on on is yellow.

Well...hummm....this has nothing to do with real life.You will know why later on.Now it´s time for the 3rd stage.
This is the main E1 from today.Durán(FOT) is there to get some points for KOM.
He does get the maximal points for KOM.
Peloton is behind E1 and the pace that the riders from Rabobank make is making alot of damage on the peloton...
..right like we can see here,with Cardoso(FOT) fighting to not loose contact.This pace made our team very weak,only our leader BenÃtez was feeling good.
Back to the E1,after that torture,Durán and Solari(GIO)were the only ones at front,with 1 small group behind them.
But knowing that this would be suicide mission,he lets Solari go and reduces the speed.....
..other group passes him.....
...until he is catched by peloton...
Peloton is with a mad pace and as this were not enought,from all riders Cardoso is the only who has a flat tyre...this happens with more then 20kms to finish,i send all helpers to help him but they were very tired,so Cardoso has to do it by himself...he came with more then 6mins behind.
Replay crashed,because of that only have screens from final,not from last kms.Our lider BenÃtez was feeling very good and with 5kms goes to the front of peloton and starts to push harder,only Geslin(FDJ)stays with him and waits for BenÃtez to start sprinting.....he passes BenÃtez..
..BenÃtez is very close again but too late.
Geslin(FDJ) wins todays stage,BenÃtez(FOT) is 2nd and Freire(RAB) is 3rd.

GC standing.
KOM standing.
Points standing.
Young GC standing.
Team standing.
Unfortunally Cardoso had bad luck,but our leader BenÃtez was very good today.Let´s see what he can do on the next stage. |

4th stage today,i have big hopes for today,let´s see how it goes..
For the only KOM sprint today,Durán(FOT)has to fight for the points because Le Lay(ALM) wants the points too,Roche(ALM) joined the front but just to watch this big fight.
Both riders delivered a great show here for the points..
..and Durán(FOT) takes the points he need to make bigger gap on KOM GC,Muravyev(SHAK) takes 2nd on last meters and Le Lay (ALM) 3rd.
All together now....
After that one,a small group formed the 1st E1 and one rider in it will almost go till the end..
On the E1,Tosato(QST) takes the first int.sprint,Coyot(GSC)2nd and Cretskens(OLO) is 3rd.
2nd int.sprint,Haedo(SAX) comes on 1st,Meersman(FDJ) 2nd and Maté(AND) is 3rd.
From this E1,only Riblon(ALM) wanted to try to escape from peloton and go solo with 10km to go.
At peloton,we can´t make a throw to the front,looks bad for us...
...and Riblon almost did it,but peloton was quicker.
Freire well posicioned...
And Freire(RAB) wins with Bole(LAM) in 2nd and Bennati(LIQ) in 3rd.
Cardoso and BenÃtez didn´t go so well today,we failed to win a good position at the front and payed for that.
Stage result.
GC standing.
Points standing.
KOM standing.
Young standing.
Team standing.
Tomorrow will be the hardest stage,i hope BenÃtez feels good and can do something nice. |
