4 stages all for sprinters. With the support of Kennaugh, Swift looks to be the main favorite here, even though the startlist might show something else. But there are some other good sprinters in this race as well. M&M came here with Vaitkus and Lorenzetto, Nokia - Nike with Castenada and Freire, NOS with Stroetinga, Lego with Baumann and Ciolek, Kenda with Forero, Haddou and Vanderaerden, Molteni with Vanthourenhout, Aon Global with Van Heerden and Abdallah, whilte Ultimate will be represented by Peeters and Ulanowski.

Dare I hope for a stage win for Swift? Some times he does great, some times he is badly positioned and nowhere, other time he is well positioned and doesnt sprint.

at least you didn't pay a wage of 500,000 euros for him and then get just 2 wins all season long

Perhaps - but without the 500k sprint training I gave him, he may have struggled to get 2 himself.
He has 5 currently - 6 including Avenir - which is a decent season. But 1 more would be great

And that KoM in Stage 1 has got to be the most lucrative climbs in the management game. Whoever wins that climb, will get at least 29 points from this race, no matter what else happens.

i will be kinda dissapointed if i don't get a stage win here(or points jersey/gc) because i think van heerden is the strongest sprinter on paper here

maybe judging only by the sprint abilities. But the sprinters need some other stats too, like acceleration and Van Heerden isn't really the best at that

I would say that Freire and Ciolek are the better sprinters, which stage 1 also indicated...

Well Van Heerden is the 2nd best ranked sprinter this season - just behind Granjel Cabrera - while Swift is 3rd

Well that also have to do with how you pick your races. Steegmans is FAR better than Thor Hushovd in the PT, but I'm quite confident that it has more to do with the fact that I'm shit at picking out races for Thor. Atleast that the gap is that big :-)

yeah but i'm also terrible at picking races, hence gilbert's presence in a bunch of stage races and van heerdens in hilly classics

The Average, the Good and the Bad so far in this race for Swift. No idea what Stage 4 will bring

Wow. 15th overall. I believe that is the best GC position I have had all season. Hopefully we can keep it :-)

Damn, so close to a stagewin. Very strong ride by Rizio today. Peeters taking 15th here will undoubtly be our best GC result.
Too bad it only gives 10pts, while my direct competitor scores 20+some days in the mountainjersey. A stagewin would've been worth gold :-)

I hoped that in this race we could finish in the top 10 in the overall standings and possibly in one stage someone from my team could be on the podium. Fortunately for me, Vanderaerden pleased me again and finally, I also saw somewhere Forero .. Good race for my team.

maybe it would have been better for him if the chasers have caught him, instead of them being always like 35 behind. But yes amazing ride for him, he was in front all by himself for almost the entire stage
