Time for a new thread.

And to start off well, let's quote Jose Mourinho. Inter managed to beat Milan 2-0 despite having two players sent off.

Wesley Sneijder's 25th-minute red card was particularly hard for Mourinho to digest and he hinted at there being an agenda against his side.

"It was a strange game," he said.

"I think we all understand that it was no coincidence that he showed the red card to Sneijder.

"I have realised that they are not going to allow us to wrap this title up.

"But we were perfect. We would have won this game even with seven men. Maybe with six we would have struggled, but we would have won with seven."

Referee Gianluca Rocchi also sent Lucio off in second half stoppage time, giving a dubious penalty to Milan for an unavoidable handball inside the penalty area.

Julio Cesar saved Ronaldinho's spot-kick, but Mourinho could not help thinking somebody was trying to sabotage his side's chances of winning another league title, calling into question the integrity of Italian football.

"Everything was done today to try and prevent Inter from winning, but my squad is strong and we will win the Scudetto," he told Sky television.

"But I will leave it at that. This is your country and your league. I am just a foreigner working here.

"One day, I will go and leave this problem with you."

Mourinho knows how to get things out there Smile Italian football is as corrupted as their government

It's not just italy. I stopped watching football this season about a month and a half ago. It's just too much obvious corruption for me.

Yep, football is the most corrupted sport by far. It's pretty simple, more money, more corruption. And really, it's not just Italy, you'd have to know how the Spanish federation is working, with the same president for like 25 years or so, and with one scandal over other, and nothing is done. Notice how Spain is, between the big leagues, the one more easily dominated by just two clubs, except for Germany, but they did have a "special situation" for 60 years.

I do agree the two red cards were (too) harsh.

Adrian Mutu tested positive again
Romania international striker Adrian Mutu has tested positive for a banned substance, according to the Italian Olympic Committee.

A statement said traces of anti-obesity drug sibutramine were found in a sample after a Serie A match between his Fiorentina side and Bari on 10 January.

The 31-year-old tested positive for cocaine in 2004 while at Chelsea.

Mutu was banned for seven months by the Football Association, but he could face a four-year ban for a second offence.

Sibutramine is an appetite suppressant drug used for obese people, although it was recently banned in the UK amid fears over the increased risks of heart attacks and strokes.

Mutu has been in excellent form for the Florence-based club, scoring seven times this season - including a goal in the 2-1 win over Bari.

But away from the pitch a Swiss Federal Court is nearing a ruling on his appeal against the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which said he must pay Chelsea 17m Euros (£14.62m) for breach of contract.

All football is about now is money and I have gradually lost interest in it over the last 5 to 10 years.

The aim of any sport is to win. In football you need lots of money to do it. In the UK, I really don't see the point of supporting 99% of the professional teams because they'll never be in a position to win the biggest prizes. When more people feel that way, then the game is going to be in trouble.

That's why the TdF has started to bore me the last few years as well. There's a predictability you don't get at most other races.

Euro 2012 draw: "And the part of Sweden will be played by Norway this time"

(For those not in on the joke. Last time around the group was Portugal, Denmark and Sweden. This time it's Portugal, Denmark and Norway)

To all you Danes, that Eriksen guy who plays at Ajax, he made a very good impression here so far.

What is known about him there? I virtually never heard of the guy before

CrueTrue
He's getting an extreme amount of press coverage at the moment. Media's trying to pressure the national coach to select him for the national squad - the problem is that he hasn't even played U21 yet.

He plays better than what I've ever seen of Danish midfielders lately...

CrueTrue
Seems like it, yes. It's difficult to understand why one, who plays for Ajax' first team, isn't good enough to play for Denmark's U21 team (and perhaps the A team), but hopefully, he'll be promoted eventually.

Uhm, since I had been in Paris from Wednesday to today, I had missed the fact that Eriksen had been picked for the A-squad's friendly vs. Austria (3rd of March).

Excellent news!
