Does anyone actually own a copy of the psp version yet? The rumours were that it was held back for debugging etc. on cyanides official forum but there has been nothing mentioned recently.
I just wondered if they've stealthily released it, as I was enquiring in a local games shop and they said it was out (although would not be ordering any copies, what customer service ), but play.com still has the "out of stock" tag its displayed since the 'official release' date.
Thinking about a purchase to get my pcm fix during those nasty, long hours spent on the train going to/from work - don't know how much more virtua tennis I can take!
Anyone know anything? Also, feel free to speculate |

I asked Clément Pinget, one of the designers behind the game, but he hasn't answered yet. |

Well that speaks volumes, I guess I'll be waiting a while yet...maybe they'll release it during the vuelta build up... |

Well forget what I said about the PSP version released in time for the vuelta, I just checked Play.com and the release date has been set for 28/09/07. Of course, there's no way you could be certain it'll be out on that date, it is Cyanide we're talking about! |

Yes - the fact they have to create a bug free game means this will never be released - Cyanide just don't know how to

Sorry for bringing an old topic up. I could try the game one month ago, and it was finished at that time already. The main problems were about finding a publisher and such things, but I don't think the game was in Cyanide's hand (= under construction) at that time.
I don't own a PSP, so I can't say if it's good or not. To me cycling is more about strategy and training, rather than pushing one key as fast as possible, so my opinion about the game is not that good. Might be a good game but not my kind, definitely.
Little secret about next year's PCM (PC version) : Cyanide are contemplating using that "push the key as fast as possible" system, either for sprints (most likely) or for Time Trials.
I don't like that idea...

We should be going the other way -- more management, less arcade stuff. I hope they change their mind sooner or later.
Aqua, do you know if the PSP-version is ever going to be released? |

Yeah, it was about to be released, just administrative problems, or something like that. I've no idea about the date though, but the game seemed to be finished.

I dont mind the term 'arcade style gameplay', but if means just jabbing at a button till your finger gets sore then i'm not too sure if I'll like this psp version . I can't believe they've even considered it for the PC version! I forsee broken keyboards all over Europe!
Seriously though, its a management game, and they would do well to keep it that way. |

Don't think so. It's difficult to make screenshots of a PSP-game, I think (for us, the customers, that is) |
