...it's that time of year when i've just purchased the new PCM and am currently downloading the PCM 2009 database. could someone please give me a step by step set of instructions (or a link to one) of how to install it once it has downloaded.
cheers |

ok. i've installed the game, downloaded the DB and gone through the auto install programme. but the db isn't working. whenever i go to options i don't have the choice of 3 DB's like it says and when i select the custom db option nothing changes.
is there anything that i'm missing?

Congrats, you're the first having that particular problem
My first idea: Did you start PCM before installing the DB? If not, try installing the DB again.

i'm not surprised probably completely my fault
do you mean have it running while the db is downloading (in which case no) or just running the original db before i downloaded it? (in which case yes, i briefly did a stage just to have a look at what was different)
i'll have another crack at it now |

Well... If you don't create a stagerace, career or something like that, you don't have a PCM-folder in My Docs.. |

You need to have the Pro Cycling Manager folder in My Documents. |

Anyway, if you really did install it correctly, but for whatever reason just miss the DB files, they're attached below. Extract it to My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager.

ok, i've got my pcm folder in my documents.
just downloaded the DB again. what do i do know? do i open and install the download which is what i've been doing or is there something else i've got to do?
last time when i opened the game after downloading the db a box popped up and asked if i wanted to install the update, but said i wasn't an administrator. don't know what it means but does that have anything to do with it?
cheers |

I guess you don't have WinRAR then?
Try this one.

i just need to know what to do now? i've followed the instructions on the auto-install and it hasn't worked several times

You should see a Local.cdb which should be put in My Docs/PCM. The three files in Database should be in My Docs/PCM/Database. |

That should be it if you installed the .exe file correctly. |
