This will be the squad for the season:
Juan Mauricio Soler: he will be our leader for the mountain races, and if we get a wildcard for a gt he will go for a top 10
Robert Hunter: he's our main sprinter and aims for the Tour of Britain
We also signed a talented rider : Sergio Henao, this season he will be a domestique.
These are our sponsers
And here are our season goals:
This will be my first story so don't expect the best quality .
I will try to start tommorow with racing, |

results for the month january:
Our first first race this season is:
GP costa degil etruschi
The squad:
It's very windy so splits in the peloton are likely
The first attack of the day is at the last bit of the first hill, 7 are attacking including Paolo Longo Borghini. At the bottom the hill the breakaway group is grown to 20 riders.
In response Voralberg-Corratec leads the peloton with a fast pace , and tears the peloton apart. The breakway led by Paolo Longo Borghini
keeps ahead of the pursuers and places an attack with 15 km to go.
Only two can follow him: Codol and Hristov. Paolo Longo Borghini leads and he begins the sprint, Codol gets close
But Paolo Longo Borghini keeps his lead and gets the first win for barloworld.

the next race on the calender is 6 day Tour Méditerranéen.
The squad:
Daryl Impey's goal is the point jersey and maybe a stage win.
While Felix Cardenas aim is a top 10 in the general classification
Stage 1
a 11 man breakaway gets away including Patrick Calcagni.
Patrick Calcagni gets third at the mountain sprint
But the pelotons tempo is high and the breakaway is reeled in by the pack.
So it's going to be a mass sprint. we prepare a nice train for Daryl Impey.
But froome lost the wheel of Cummings, Luckily Impey finds the wheel of Daniele Pietropolli.
and Impey is second.
next stage is a ttt

The next stage is 32 km long ttt.
Only around 5 decent time trailers participate in this tour and two of them are in our squad : Cummings(75) and Froome(71)
Cummings and Froome are doing the most work.
We are fifth at the checkpoint with 33 seconds behind topsport vlaanderen.
Lpr is second with +24.
We finished and the next team to finish is Lpr. can they beat our time?
No they didn't. Daniele Pietropolli lost his yellow jersey.
Last to finish is topsport vlaanderen, will Impey take the yellow jersey?
(the photographer made a mistake this is not topsport vlaanderen but landbouwkrediet, he's fired now.)
Yes we are first. (from now on i will play with hard difficulty)
Stage 3
Another one for the sprinters , we will try to defend the yellow jersey
A break gets away
Barloworld together with rabobank CT try to reel in the break.
But with 40 km to go the gap is till 2 min, Barloworld ups the pace.
With 5km the break seems beaten but wait:
Luckily they didnt get a time gap so we still got yellow.

good luck, playing in hard not mean automaicaly defeat, you can find a lot of story where people play in extreme and have good result, so why not you?

while the Tour Méditerranéen is still going we ride our second tour of the season Giro della Provincia di Grosseto
stage 1:sprint
stage 2: hilly
stage 3: hilly
our squad:
Michele Merlo is our sprinter while we don't expect stage wins from him a top 10 will be nice.
Francesco Bellotti will be our hope to get yellow.
stage 1:
A break get away including Paolo Longo Borghini we hope that he can repeat his stunt he did at GP costa degil etruschi
But ISD keeps a fast pace and keen to get the breakaway for there leader Visconti
The break doesn't stand a chance. It's time for a mass sprint
Our sprinters are placed well.
But to no avail
westra is to strong

Tour Méditerranéen
stage 4
hilly , so today we could lose our jersey
Again a break gets away. It consists of 12 men with T.Eltink being the most dangerous(71 hill)
We are controling the pack with Thomas and Cummings.
the break gets 4 minutes maximum.
when the situation gets desperate for the break T.Eltink tries a solo effort
But also Eltink can't beat the pack. we prepare for a sprint.
And then a attack we let Impey and Augustyn attack too.
With 2km to go Impey is leading with great distance, but out of nowhere
the pack comes sprinting past.
Impey is still 6th
And he still wears the yellow, only by a close margin
My first top 10 on hard yay. |

della Provincia di Grosseto
stage 2
rated as flat but the hills will ensure that this one will not end in a normal mass sprint
The break consits of 7 including Corti
Isd is again leading the pack.
When the break is taken in, Francesco Bellotti attacks on the last hill.
Westra counter attacks
Francesco Bellotti leads but he's got nothing left in the tank and is outsprinted
Visconti wins a great race by isd
Tour Méditerranéen
stage 5
also rated as flat
A break gets away and at the top of the last hill they are taken in.
And then on the decent a crash, including Cardenas our leader for this tour
He get's back on his bike without an injury
The sprint is very choatic because of the crash and the very fast pace uphill
Impey is 8th and he left bakelants behind him so he's still in yellow
standings:
In the evening i will ride both last stages of the tours.
They are both uphill so expect some action

della Provincia di Grosseto
stage 3 the decisive stage
today a break of eight including rolland (hl 72)
when the break is beaten 30 km to Paolo Longo Borghini attacks.
He gets 3 other with him.
when the pack reels them in Cheula attacks
But also he didn't stand a chance
All the favourites attack on the last hill including Francesco Bellotti
he almost got 5th
but the sponsors are happy with 6th too
Carlo Scognamiglio is also nicely 14th
Tommorow i will post the last stage of the Tour Méditerranéen

Tour Méditerranéen
stage 6
the general classement before the last stage
the most dangerous rider are Ben Hermans(hl74) and ofcourse Jan Bakelants
We need atleast one of our rider finishing infront of Jan Bakelants if we want to keep yellow.
the route is fairly flat and at a steep 7km hill.
The winner will be decided on that hill.
the break including Der(hl70) we don't see them as a treat and let them go.
And then a crash it's Daniele Pietropolli.
Lpr send four men to try to get him back in the pack, they never make it.
Also Pidgornyy attacks we let him go at first, but when the gap reaches 2+min we take effort to reel them in
The break is reeled 5km before the last hill including Pidgornyy.
Just in front of the hill the first attack happens none of the gc are in it.
we let henao counter attack
we also let our helpers of the day attack: Cummings and
Froome
But most of the attacker are reeled in by Jan Bakelants who's storming up the hill. All of the guys who got some energy left are trying to do hist best to follow him
with 2 km the sprint starts and it's clear our guys can't follow.
Impey and Cardenas are gaped. we lost the jersey.
But wait Froome is still infront it's not much but if can keeps the gap he wins. Jan Bakelants is closing in fast it almost seems an impossible task.
He did it Froome is third
And first in the gc !
Our hero of the day :
Our nemesis of the day:
Sorry it got a bit long but this stage was so awesome it deserved this. |
