I love this forum,
However I think it takes away from it that there is something underneath everyone's avatar (Stars and Posts) that also quantifies how "valuable" they are as a forum member (Whether there's an actual reward or not) and it encourages people to post on every thread they see and try to be the most recent post on all of the posts on the main page, and to ultimately make either irreverent or unproductive posts or to make a post saying absolutely nothing such as "I agree completely" or "Oh yeah, I like him too blah blah blah."
Not saying those kinds of posts are always done with that motivation or that they never contribute to the discussion at hand, but a lot tend to be.
I also think everyone should be able to speak their mind here and not get flamed for a differing opinion, which is why I'm taking the time to write this
Edit 1: I also think it makes other members who have been around the forum more disregard those who only have a few posts and are relatively new, If someone's an active forum member then you'll know.

when i can't look for 2 days and i wanna look up the forums with new posts. it sometimes takes 10 minutes to find usefull post.(im probably exxagerate).
I see a lot (i would name any members) that sometimes just post in 5 topics in a row , with mostly : i totally agree etc.

Hopefully, you don't said it. when I read your text, I have one moment think:
I hope for him that he don't think about me!

Unfortunately, there will always be people who post inane things regardless of whether there is a post counter or not. Just wait and hope that Aab-Ern finds a way to implicate the ignore function successfully. I'm personally looking forward to it.

Or we can vote people off the island?
But yes I would love an ignore function, I can think of a few people on my waiting list for it and I'm sure I'm on a few people's list too.

It's going to be a complicated function, but one that would solve annoying posters. Unfortunately, like I've had to, you have to learn to just glance over posts written by certain people. For me currently, it's ####l and S####7.

Personnaly, i will not have a list. Put somebody on my list, it's decide that he will never post something interesting, it's a form of discrimination.

real smooth rjc, real smooth
but i have to agree.
Question are we really the first to complain about this?
or another option a spammeter. People can vote if post spam. (Mark it as spam). and for example when you have 10 posts marked and confirmed(by admins ), you get banned for a month?

I think that was a joke. I'm guessing he meant for the "7" to be a "Y" which would make that pretty obvious that it was you and I and I for one enjoy talking to rjc so I hope he doesn't have it in for me lol.
Let's not let this go beyond a joke though, I want to hear people's opinions on this, I don't want it to be a place to bash others.

or simply, I have see it on Yahoo I think, evrybody that is login can vote for a comment, and when the total of negative is bigger then a certain number (i don't know it precisly) the comment is hide, but you can ask to see it, and confirm it's a spam or not.

It wasn't you Shifty, goodness no. Your interest in many fields of cycling, and actually creating decent topics make me wish Americans were like you, and more of the forum was. Hell, even I wish I was more like you (in this context ).
It's things like those last two double posts by Ursul that anger me for one, and that should have things like warnings posted. Why can't you just edit your previous post rather than make a new one?

[off topic] Aww thanks rcj <3 let's be friends! [/off topic]
But yes I accidentally do double posts because I realize in my rambling I forgot something that I wanted to say and don't think to edit my posts because this whole forum deal is new to me.
You guys seem to have differing opinions on how to carry it out but we all (The few of us online and present in this forum anyway) seem to be in agreement that it would be nice to have some function to limit these "waste" posts so I guess we'll have to wait and see if CrueTrue and the Crew (True? ) can come up with anything, or if they even feel it's necessary.
As Always,

It doesn't really botheer me, i scroll with the page down button so usrlrss posts go past pretty quickly, also as a new user it is nice to know who are the regulars and who is new, although I guess it doesn't take long to figure out anyway.
