AUTHORS NOTE: Welcome to my story about Aldo Belluno. The story focuses on the races from Aldo's POV. This first update/intro whatever you like to call it, is just an introduction to him as a character. I hope my readers, by reading this intro/update, will understand him and his below average thinking (). This is a story about a fictional cyclist.
Hope you enjoy!
Who to pick.. Who to pick..
Oh, my sincerest apologies. Where is my manners? Hello. My names is Aldo Belluno. I don't really know where to start. I have a lot to tell. I was born in Milano, and I had my first years of childhood there. Milano is more commonly known for its fashion-shows, fortune and fame, but that is not quite the Milano I knew. My dad was fighting hard to get a job, and my mother, well.. She did as women did at that time; doing the household deeds. And me? I went to a school, where I was disliked more or less.. I was picked on. The other boys sometimes surrounded me in a circle and started pushing me around. I was forced by some boys from my class to fight the older boys at the school, but I got used to it. Accepted it. Thought it was a part of school for everyone. At that time, I was naive - I was, what you could call, a little merda.
We moved away from Milano, when I was about 10. We moved away from Milano and up in the mountains, close to the Austrian border. My dad had finally gotten a "real" job, so to speak. He was given a job in a bicycle shop. Apparently, it was a popular thing to ride in the mountains close to Austria. Oh, I forgot! The name of the city we moved to is Naturno. The first day at this new school was great. I realized how dumb I had been in Milano. One was not supposed to be bullied at school. It was not a part of it. Nevertheless, in this school, people were nice. They were very talkative, and I met a girl. Mirabella was her name.
We did our homework together every day after school. I don’t know whether she liked me or not, but I thought so. At least I liked her. She was nice. Quite like my mother. It was lovely. My father had a great time in the bicycle shop. Apparently, it was a trend biking in the mountains close to the Austrian border. He came home with a bike one day. Told me to try it. I did. It was lovely. I felt strong on this bike, and I showed it to Mirabella the next day. She was happy, when she saw me riding it. Oh, we had a great time. She also tried it. It was fun.
My dad got into cycling. A lot. He founded a team in this city. Naturno Club Ciclisto was it name. Marco, my friend from the school, joined the team. We were two in the beginning, but it grew. It was fun.
I loved riding. I was nearly quitting school, just to ride. I was good at it. I was able to ride with people 2 years older than me. Maybe because I trained hard. I don't know. I was good. Mirabella liked it, and she liked seeing me happy, when I rode.
Then it happened. The one thing that I could not possibly imagine to happen happened. I don't know what the reason was. A normal day at school. Or not completely normal, because Mirabella was not there. She was always there. It had never happened before. I could not believe it. I could not understand it. I didn't know, why she wasn't there, but she was gone. I cried. Ran home. Cried more. Went to my room. The tears could not be stopped. I lifted my head. Saw the bike. Decided to dedicate myself to it a 100%. Biking.
It turned out that she had moved on. Where, I don't know, but she was gone. Today I am 21 years old. I was 15 at that time. I have grown a lot the last 6 years. I have three contract offers in my inbox. Three teams to choose from. I don't know, whom to pick, yet.
Who to pick?

@admirschleck: Thanks a lot! It is appreciated.
@Ian Butler: The read was meant to be simple and easy to understand. My choice of words will hopefully match Aldo's "smartness" throughout the story.
@AnydFan: I am glad that you like it!
EDIT: On another note, I would like to know, whether I should "skip" the first season as he will not be that exciting to follow in this one. What do you think?

Yes, I do know what it means, at least in italian.
Shit! But I use it as a "term" to describe Aldo's body structure.
@sutty68: Thanks!

@emre99: Oh my! That sounds dangerous.
Thanks!
@baia: Thank you! Yes, it is not the luckiest of titles, but apart from being some sort of description of Aldo's body structure (earlier mentioned), it is also a word, which is stuck in Aldo's head because of his childhood.

Hello once again. I am still Aldo Belluno, but I don’t have much to say this time. As mentioned earlier, I had contract offers in my inbox. I have now chosen a team. Didn’t know the before actually, but I like the sports director. He is nice. Just like my mom, but in a manly way, if you know what I mean. I am happy now. My dad is happy. My mother is happy. I hope that I can use this big chance. Riccardo Forconi is a nice guy. This seems good. The beginning of something even better.
And now that I have your attention, I would like to tell you, how the contract signing took place. I was contacted by mail. It was exciting. It was something new. I had not tried that thing with contracts before. I was supposed to meet Riccardo Forconi. It was him, who dealt with these kinds of “small” contracts. At least I was told so. It was a long trip by train. After all, their headquarters was situated in Lucca. I had a great meal on the train. My mom and dad were with me. They also had a great meal. The waiter was actually quite nice. Cute girl. Reminded me a little of Mirabella.
Their headquarters were moderate in size. It was not the biggest of its kind, but it wasn’t too small either. Riccardo greeted me with a warm welcome. I left my parents outside the building, and followed Riccardo in to a room placed at the back. We talked about dreams. I told him about my biggest dream. Winning a mountain stage in the Giro d’Italia. He laughed. I did not understand why. I meant it and I still do. I signed the thin paper. I had quite a nice salary. Not as much as my dad, but I will make it to that level one day. I said goodbye to Riccardo and went home. What a nice day.
Oh, I completely forgot to tell, what the name of the team is. Ceramica Flaminia-Fondriest. I like the sound of it. It feels good, when I pronounce it. Their jersey is also lovely!

AN: I hope you liked this update, and as a bonus info I will give you his stats right here below. These will also be in #2. Hope you have a great read!

@NTTHRASH: Thank you! I am glad to hear that!
@Cycleman123: As said, the title is not the best. Especially when you are Italian.
However, I hope you know the reason behind my choice of this title. Thank you for reading!
@Ian Butler: I am sincerely glad that you like it.

Good start, but I'd like you to make longer sentences...it's a kind of "child"-sentences you are using. It's kinda neglectful and minimalist...

The child thing is absolutely un purpose. He is child-like in this way of thinking.
I don't really agree with it beeing neglectful and minimalistic.. Can you elaborate that?
