Great result there, in a tough field as well.

One more leadout man short of the win. Wink

Our squad
Björn Arvid is a domestique, or he will go in the break today.
Kristian Hammarling is undisputed leader here. As a sprinter and in a form peak he can safely be called a favourite for today.
Simon Holt is a possible lead-out. If not, sprint train seems likely.
Heiko Kalichmann will be a domestique.
Djaja Susanto is the other option for lead-out. Only if he fails to get past the hills Simon will take over.

Race report

4 riders get a gap of max 35sec. Bibby is the main rider.
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1100_zps15995bfc.jpg

With 5kms to go everything is picked up and we launch our sprint train.
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1101_zps8bcb9b96.jpg

The pace is so high only 3 sprinters can follow!

Under the banner Kristian is battling with Cronshaw and Briggs.
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1103_zpsad90f016.jpg

With 500mtrs to go Briggs seems to have it in the pocket though.

i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1108_zps807145a6.jpg

With 9kms to go Friedman does make a strong attack though.

4th is okay, but we definitely could've done better.

Good to see Holt getting 6th in the previous race as well, hadn't really showed himself in a while.

Race profiles

Stage 1
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1139_zps67430e76.jpg
Stage 1 shouldn't be too difficult. Despite the short hills in the end it seems suited for a sprinter.

report

Stage 2
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1140_zps6b85a69e.jpg
Stage 2 is quite difficult in the beginning, but after that it should be a good chance for sprinters to make it a second sprint in 2 days.

report

Stage 3
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1141_zpsfbf16947.jpg
Stage 3 should shake up the GC a lot. The beginning is easy, but at the final climb the race could become very selective. The GC may already be decided here.

report

Stage 4
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1142_zps482a672a.jpg
Stage 4 is likely to end in a sprint. Similarly to stage 2 there are some hills in the beginning, but they should be survived.

report

Stage 5
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1143_zpse624b936.jpg
Stage 5 is probably the last chance to shake up the GC. A 25-km TTT should make some differences at least.

report

Stage 6
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1144_zps63987a5c.jpg
Another flat stage. We start quite high, but after some ups and downs we end flat once again.

report

Stage 7
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1145_zps94d5fd22.jpg
The penultimate stage is flat as well. The hills that are included are probably too far away from the line to make some sort of change.

report

Stage 8
i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag31/Selwink/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1146_zpsfcf0fcc7.jpg
A short stage to end this tour. After the climb in the beginning it's flat all the way to the finish. The sprinters get a final chance here.

report

Our squad
Armin Berg-Hansen is here for domestique work. He is important in the TTT, but is also likely to help in the sprints.
Peter de Groote has the same role here. In the TTT he is likely to do the biggest part of the work.
Johnnie Flodder is our sprinter here. With 6 chances for him he is likely to pick up one or two victories.
Joep Gouda is co-leader here. Although he's still building form he is a good climber and could do well in stage 3.
Peter Pal has a free role here. If he can hang on in the mountain stage, he might try something in the flat/hilly stages.
Timothy Raue is the other leader here. As he is in his peak a victory is far from unrealistic.
Taeke Roorda is also here to help in the TTT. Also, he can help in the preparations for sprints.
Ásgeirr Silferberg has the same role as Taeke. With him included we could do very well in both aspects.
