Sagan and Krizan fail in Roubaix.
Our first goal in this part of the season. We immediately start off with a hard one. We had to finish in the top 5 of Paris - Roubaix. While we anticipated not getting a top 5 result here, we were hoping to at least get a rider in the top 20. Our riders failed horribly though, with Sagan being our best rider in 25th. Krizan finished a bit further back in 36th. Everyone else finished outside of the top 50, although worth mentioning is that Koren spend most of the day in the breakaway.

Spaniards triumph in Valkenburg.
We came to the Amstel Gold Race with a feeling that our team would be able to achieve a podium place finish here. We were pleased to see that Agostini got in the breakaway, so we did not have to do any work today. In the finale though, our good feeling was quickly shattered by the Spaniards, who were very strong. Sagan managed to finish 11th, having to do most of the chasing in his group. Not a bad result, but we were hoping for a bit more.

The Hulk wins La Fleche Wallonne.
Having not won since Gent - Wevelgem, almost a month earlier, it is great to see one of our riders raise his arms at the end of a race. After an exciting finale, where first Gilbert put the pressure on the other riders and Daniel Martin accelerated on the Mur de Huy, Sagan held on and finished it off in the uphill sprint. Let us hope he will be able to repeat this in Liege.

Peter Sagan claims his first monument.
We started in Liege with a goal to reach a top 10 finish. With Peter being in some good form this week, we felt that we had a good chance to achieve that goal. After Ratto crashed right before the Mur de Saint Roch, many strong riders got caught behind and had to do some chasing, tiring them out. Rodriguez was the first of the favourites to attack, but he got reeled in on La Redoute. Our nerves increased when Peter attacked with 27 kilometers to go. We knew he was capable of finishing a solo, after his victory in Strade Bianche, but the opposition here in Belgium was a lot stronger. It did not matter though as Peter held on to claim his biggest victory of his young career. We are very proud of him and we are certain there are many more victories to come this year.

Congratz! He's definitely the most outstanding rider of the season so far (what a surprise ).

I don't mind, as long as I have Sagan, my team will never be in danger of relegation. |

Congrats on a very well-deserved victory! I'm not a fan of Sagan, but this victory was very nice for him!

Peter Sagan takes home more points.
Sagan finishes off his Spring campaign with a 5th place in De Brabantse Pijl. He was the only rider to catch up with most of the morning breakaway, leaving only Hulsmans of Vini Fantini in front. Having to chase alone, he was completely out of energy in the end and lost the sprint for the podium spots. He now takes a small break and we are hoping he will get us more to cheer about in the Amgen Tour of California.

Basso not in form for Il Giro yet.
We came to the Giro del Trentino, knowing that we had to finish top 5 in the General Classification to complete our goal. After a good start in the first and second stage, it was impossible to reach our goal after the third and fourth stage. On stage 5 Basso redeemed himself a bit, with a 6th place finish and a 9th place in the General Classification. Still, it was a very disappointing performance so close to Il Giro.

Basso not ready for Il Giro
The Tour de Romandie was the last race before Il Giro. We hoped Basso would have improved his condition after a weak Giro del Trentino. It was not to be our race. We never came close to a good result and Basso did not show any form so close to the Giro d'Italia. Special mention to Silvio Pennarossa, who rode a very good Time-Trial with a 15th place.
