I was going to choose the direction of the story by his results at track. I had 4 options laid out depending on what happened. You probably still won't believe because your babeball but I can assure you I never restarted.
I was actually wondering if it's kinda "skripted" (which i wouldn't mind) or what would happen when you lose here. But this makes sense so thanks for lifting this "secret"/behind the scenes (btw, something that i really enjoy, especially in a story like your's here).
Good job then! And good luck for the districts!

We got to the velodrome early to avoid the crowds.
Good thing we did, they are more rowdy then they were last night.
At least the organizers brought in more security for today and
even isolated an area for Kyle and Joseph to watch the event.
Just keep calm and shut them up.
"Get that scumbag doper off the track, he doesn't deserve to be here."
--- *** --- *** --- *** ---
The points race was up first, 4 sprint points and then the finish.
The crowd is getting into my head. I totally screw up the 1st sprint.
I look over to Kyle holding Joseph... Come on Newton do it for your kid!
There we go, the self pep-talk worked. Now to do it again.
Okay, that was actually relatively easy. Up to 10 points.
And again! 3 in a row, I'm on fire. The crowd is stunned (and very angry).
Except for my fans, I can see Kyle making Joseph dance as I ride by.
I have a little laugh before I start gearing up for the finish.
Can I get 4 in row and take the win?
No. But 2nd isn't bad at all. What a start! If I can carry this over to the scratch race in 2 hours I might have already secured a spot at Nationals in New York.
But I can't get too far ahead of myself,
I have to remember what happened the last time I raced omnium.

At least it wasn't a close call this time.

After taking in a little brunch it was time for event #2, the scratch race.
It's 20 laps with points awarded for the first 13 finishers.
In junior districts, a long long time ago, I finished 7th.
--- *** --- *** --- *** ---
What a boring and dull race. No attacks whatsoever.
I guess it's a mutual agreement to decided the winner in a bunch sprint.
At least the finish was exciting. Too bad I wasn't apart of it. I picked the
wrong guy to follow and when I tried to switch wheels I got blocked in.
So, I end up finishing 8th and only add 6 points to my total.
I'm still hold the lead but Valencia and Maddux are closing in. Top 2 move on.
The 200 meter TT is up next. The nightmares I have had because of this race.
It ruined my chance to go to USA Nationals as junior.
Will it crush my dreams once again or
will it be a different story this time around?

It's just a sprint. Do what you did to win those sprints in the points race.

It's getting to be crunch time.
Because I had the lead after the scratch race
I'm the last rider to go for the 200 meter time trial.
Lots of watching and waiting. I play with Joseph to try keep my mind off
what happened the last time I raced this event. It's not working.
--- *** --- *** --- *** ---
Finally, I'm up. Just get points, I don't necessarily have to win.
The first 150 meters went well but as I'm exiting out of the final turn
my back wheel slips out of the corner. In sheer panic I over-correct my mistake.
Now I have complete lost control of my bike.
Lucky I at least keep myself up right and avoid a total embarrassment.
However, my time speaks for my itself. My past had comeback to haunt me.
Despite my early lead, it was going to come down to the elimination race.

That 200m time trial is a real killer. Come on Trav. Win the Elimination Race.

Looks like Travis still needs to work on his bike handling.

I can never do decently in that event, so your not alone. Just a shame it could ruin Travis' chances. |

All: Yeah, I suck at that event. I've looked up tips, practiced it over and over, but I can't seem to get it right. At least it makes the last race interesting. We didn't want Travis to blow everyone out of the water.
On a side note: The PCM career save is being a pain. The 2016 transfers were so bad I'm basically overhauling every team. The same goes with the new sponsors that entered the game. It's just a mess right now. It's going to take hours to get everything the way I want it.

Umm, if you're banned, why are you using a PCM career?
Is it for his return in a few years, or is something interesting about to happen...? |

He was banned for a year so, I have to keep the save/world updated if he ever gets the chance to return to road race cycling.
