To all followers of this story
Dear fans,
I apologise for the time you had to wait on the beginning of this story. I'm just so extremely bad at installing DB's and solving problems that it didn't work out as it should be. But, after all misery there's finally a bright star at the sky. The PCM.daily Expansion Pack works, and today I've implented everything I need into the DB so we can get up and rolling.
But, the most important thing of this post is absolutely THIS LINK. I'd click it if I was you!

Nice team, but I think it's not many races for a team of such size

Very nice looking team. I'm looking forward seeing them racing in races like Qatar and Oman.
And Belghazi: What a talent |

@ Jesleyh / bjornini: Farid says he will try to meet your expectations on him!
@ Selwink: I applied for like 15 more races but they just kept on rejecting Telkom-Ecobank. But hey, this is our first season, we're building up slowly.

I love the squad, will be hard to memorize the names but one is already in my head... Belghazi, hope you can keep this story rolling for long, at least so long as the time we waited for it to start..

@ baia: Farid gets a bit shy of all those compliments! A said earlier, he will try to do his best to forfill your expectations!
@ bjornini: I'm busy with some schoolwork for the 10 days or so, but I think this story will really come alive in December. All in all I'm aiming for at least 2/3 reports pro week.

Race preview: LA TROPICALE AMISSA BONGO
La Tropicale Amissa Bongo is a week-long stage race in the African country of Gabon. It's usually the first professional stage race of the year. Last year Anthony Charteau (Europcar) grabbed his third GC win in a row in La Tropicale.
The 2013 edition starts off with three stages through Cameroon, the country north of Gabon. First up is a hilly stage between Bitam and Ebolowa, followed by a criterium in Cameroon's capital Yaoundé and another stage between Bitam and Ebolowa, though this stage follows a different route than stage 1. Then it's off to Gabon with 1 hilly stage and 3 fairly flat ones, the last one ending with a circuit in Gabon's capital Libreville.
Lots of World Tour teams took the opportunity to come to Gabon for the official start of the season. Kiryienka looks a strong contender for Sky, Ulissi is the main guy for Lampre, and guys like Bardet (AG2R), Huzarski (NetApp), Moser and Ratto (both Cannondale) are also among the favourites.
For our first race in the professional peloton we're sending Merhawi Kudus as our leader. We think he's able to follow some weaker guys from WT teams and maybe finish pretty high in the GC. Tesfay Abraha Habtemariam is our main sprinter, he shouldn't be able to beat guys like Swift (Sky), Bozic (Astana) and Davis (Orica), but we're expecting some decent finishes in the flat stage. Runako Edwards, Chibesa Mwanza and Daniel Nambwe are there to support Habtemariam, and Kudus is protected by Gebremedhin and Goedhals. Last but not least, our Kenyan puncheur Robert Wanyama, who's looking for some succesful breakaways.
So stay tuned, the project named Team Telkom-Ecobank is starting soon. Expect our first ever race report up in a few days.
