@sutty68: You will find out shortly.
@welker3257: If getting hit by a car, falling down because he there was no where else to go, and getting punch by the father of the girl he just knocked up is injury prone, then sure I guess you could say he is injury prone.
@Jakstar22: Technically he doesn't know that his daughter is getting taken care of. Chloe left for California without telling him. So, it's understandable he was "a little" mad at Travis.
@jseadog1: Yes, I like to make it dramatic (especially when a season is about to end). I do it with a purpose though, it's trying to keep the balance between long and short reports.

I spend way to much time in hospitals and airports.
Random thought I know, the things you realize when you're on pain killers.
"Mr. Newton I got some good news."
"You must got the wrong guy, I never get good news."
"I don't think so, your Travis right? Well, your arm isn't broken.
You got extremely lucky. And your nasty black eye will heal in a week or so."
"I still think you have the wrong guy but I am feeling a lot better already."

A few minutes later Glen Mitchell walks into my hospital room.
"Travis, I got some bad new..."
*That's more like it, something I use to.*
"After seeing the background check on the guy that assaulted you,
we noticed he came from the same region where you grew up.
So we had our scouting staff look into it some more..."
"Glen you can stop right there, I'm full conscious now.
What do you want to know? I'll tell you everything."
"We already know everything Travis... we know about the child.
And management has already got together and said they
can't have this 'news' story break on our watch."
"Well, what do you want me to do? What I'm I suppose to do?"
"First, don't press legal charges.
Second, well, you are going to have to sign these papers."
"What is it?"
"I'm sorry, but we have to terminate your contract.
Management wants to get as far away as possible from you Travis.
You 'accidentally' got a girl pregnant and, well, you're injury prone...
We tried to make things work out between us but that's that last straw.
We wish you the best of luck."

Wow
Don't know if that's legal. But in America, I guess anything's possible? |

@Ian Butler: Legal? You will see in the next episode.
@sutty68: Well, Bissell helped him for so long. Turns out a smashed in car window is where they draw the line. Cycling is still a business and Bissell isn't exactly a huge team either.
@Jesleyh: EXP are for races only. Otherwise he would already be at all 85's by now, that wouldn't be much fun.

very sad, I hope you pull through, and later get Bissell to regret their stupidity, also, so if they sack you. Why would you car if they ask not to press charges, do it man! |

I signed the papers. As much as I enjoyed my time with Bissell,
I knew it was time to move on as well. I couldn't take the risk of having
the media finding out what happened between me, Chloe, and her dad.
It would ruin my career. I knew that. No team would want me.
At least Bissell has to pay my wages until the contract
runs out so not getting paid won't be an issue.
So, whether Bissell black mailed me into not pressing legal charges or not,
It wasn't worth it for me... or Chloe... or the baby on it's way.
It's time to open a new chapter in my career.
I'll happily be back in California tomorrow with Kyle and Chloe.
Hopefully with some contract offers already on the table for next season.
And hopefully without Chloe's dad following me back to LA.

Maybe Travis should have Chloe call her dad so that when he kills Travis, he will know it was her choice to leave

I don't know if an image is so important for a cyclist, though? But maybe it's best not to press charges indeed |

This is a great story. I love it
It would be best not to press charges. Especially when it's your girlfriends dad

"Travis, what happened to your eye!?! ... and your arm?"
"I don't know, why don't you go call your daddy and ask him.
I'm going over to Kyle's apartment to talk contracts since your dad got me fired!
I'll be back in a few hours, you have a lot of explaining to do when I get back."
--- *** --- *** --- *** ---
"You look horrible man, how you feeling?"
"I've actually been worse so I'll survive. I hope you have good news for me."
"Well, we already have two offers on the table. And I think more to come."
Team | Offer | Wage (per Month) | Role | Team Optum | Contract | $3,750 / 1 Year | Free | Garmin-Sharp | Contract | $2,600 / 2 Years | Helper |
"That's great! At least teams are interested.
Let's wait a few more days to see if any more offers come in."
