@Baia: You always talk about "my" boys, what's this about?
Prior to the new season, i asked for some help with the race planning. So some followers of my story took one team each and nominated the squads for the different races. I wanted those members to keep their teams secret until the season kicked off, baia wants to keep it secret til the end of the season
@baia: Glad you are enjoying the early thrill of the season There's hopefully some more more exciting stuff ahead, and may those battles last for the whole season
@Froome: O'Brien will definitely step up for Euride, which was'nt that bad so far (as for the individual results - 5th, 8th). Maybe next race, Toowoomba? Where he did win last year.

@baia: "Daddy"..
@Ian: Feel free to do so Earle and Haig love your support!
@all: Felt it was time for a first set of highlight-screens from the early season event.. a mix of pics, that didn't make the reports and my personal favorites from those reports.
Mark O'Brien attacking in the Baw Baw Classic..
An early attack - led by Timothy Cameron - in Mersey Valley!
Ben Carman (Downer) and Rhys Gillett (AWS) attacking in the Mersey Valley..
Small groups climb the Cradle Mountain, chasing Nathan Earle..
The bunch chases a late attacking group..
Preparing for the bunch sprint on Rottnest Island!
A breakaway climbs Perth Hills..
Jack Haig leads an attack with Perth in the background..

baia could do a better job of hiding who "his boys" are... i mean, we all know by now.
The breakaway climbing the Perth Hills is by far my favorite, it is stunning! O'Brien in Baw Baw solid second though, and Haig attack 3rd fav. Great shots as always, but hides Huon's dominance somewhat.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!
@sutty: It's definitely a good shot, yes
@Manx: Don't know if baia really wants to hide this It ain't easy to hide anyway, so just do it "your way", guys
As for the screens, thanks for the kind words! You're right about the lack of Huon's dominance here, but I preferred those other screens this time.
@baia: The 6th, preparing for the sprint. My favorite btw

Some very nice screens. For some reason, it's like this story is on a future PCM, PCM 2016 or something Level of detail and vegetation etc is so high, and you make it look even better with the right angles |

Im absolutely loving the screens in this. The stages you are playing always have such awesome detail.
I think I've raced nearly a whole season on cdx stages so there is almost nothing to look at on the roadside ever, which makes my screenshots really boring

@Ian: I'm actually beta-testing PCM16 but seriously, thanks for the kind words, that's definitely a huge compliment and really appreciated
@valv: Same here, thanks alot for stopping by for those words i always try to add some details to my stages, so it's nice to get feedback like that!
But don't be too harsh with your screens There were some good shots even on those empty stages, even though i know your feelings. I really can't enjoy playing those cdx ones, but you did the best out of it

MORE NEW SHIRTS FOR THE TOUR OF TOOWOOMBA
And here we go again with news from two NRS-teams: Charter Mason / Drapac Development Team and Euride Racing both presented their new shirts today.
Charter Mason, for which Toowoomba will be the first NRS event this season, comes up with new colors and fresh look. A light blue and a somehow classic design make for easy to spot and good looking kit. Credits go to FroomeDog99, who made an outstanding job.
And also M133 Design has been busy again: after presenting three new shirts prior to the Tour de Perth, our official NRS shirt designer again took some time to give a promising team a brand new look. Euride Racing, led by Mark O'Brien this year, will hope for a breakthrough season.
Speaking of O'Brien: last year's 2nd in the NRS will aim for a "triple" in Toowoomba after taking out both the 2012 and 2013 editions! So will be wear the purple leader-shirt at the end of the race, yet again? Stay tuned for the previews!

Thanks for the feedback, guys! So kudos for both shirtmakers here Also sorry for the lack of updates yesterday. Been on a concert and forgot to let you know Here we go with the first preview for the next NRS event:
Tour of Toowoomba
The FKG Tour of Toowoomba will be the third round of the 2014 Subaru National Road Series and is the only NRS Teams event to be staged in Queensland. It will comprise of three gruelling road stages, the challenging Team Time Trial and the inner city Criterium.
Top-favorite has to be Mark O'Brien: the NRS runner-up in 2013 won this event two times in a row and will aim for a hattrick this year!
Results 2013/
1 | Mark O'Brien | Budget Forklifts | 10h38'41 | 2 | Jack Haig | Huon Salmon-Genesys | + 14 | 3 | Michael Cupitt | Budget Forklifts | s.t. | 4 | Adam Semple | Satalyst Giant | + 23 | 5 | Aaron Donnelly | Huon Salmon-Genesys | + 30 |
Mark O'Brien took out the 2013 edition thanks to an impressive move in the final criterium: entering the last day with a 7"-gap on race-leader Haig, O'Brien attacked the bunch solo a few kilometres before finish and held on to an 11"-gap for both the stage and the GC-win!
More impressions from 2013/
Sprint to the line in the opening hilly stage..
James Hepburn (GPM) won the queen stage out of a breakaway..
Team Budget Forklifts in the TTT..
Aaron Donnelly (Huon) and his victory on Glenvale's criterium circuit!

@sutty: Their chances should be good, as it's the team's "home race" in Queensland!
@Ian: Thanks! Found some good angles for the TTT last year
Tour of Toowoomba (Preview #2) The startlist/ Most notable riders skipping this race/ Haig (Huon), Wurf (Subway), Cupitt (Budget), Sheppard (search2)
The Top-favorites/ [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Earle_zpscccbc98e.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Nathan Earle (Huon Salmon - Genesys)
Key stats/ MO 72, HI 75, TT 70
Earle crushed his opponents in his only race so far and looked in best possible shape. Huon is also expected to be one of the best TTT-squads here.. [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_OBrien_zpsd0ff84f7.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Mark O'Brien (Euride Racing)
Key stats/ MO 74, HI 72, TT 68
Will go for his third Toowoomba-win in a row and thanks to his new team Euride being one of the best against the clock, O'Brien should be in a good position! [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Anderson_zps7a324a36.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Jack Anderson (Budget Forklifts)
Key stats/ MO 69, HI 74, TT 70
Queensland based Budget Forklifts has to aim for it's first GC-win after two wins by Huon so far! Anderson, from Queensland as well, will be the team's leader. [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Lapthorne_zps783d3fd2.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Darren Lapthorne (Drapac)
Key stats/ MO 70, HI 72, TT 64
Lapthorne had a great start into the new season and seems to be Drapac's strongest at the moment. The team may struggle in the TTT, but he's a real threat! [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Norris_zpsd23d82ed.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Lachlan Norris (Jayco - Honey Shotz)
Key stats/ MO 72, HI 71, TT 67
Norris kicked the season off with a podium in the Mersey Valley Tour and Jayco continued to shine with Morgan's 4th place in Perth. Definitely worth a look! [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_NeilVanderPloeg_zps9f1165f0.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Neil Van der Ploeg (search2retain)
Key stats/ MO 65, HI 71, TT 72
What more can be said about Van der Ploeg? The TTT may hurt his chances this time, but he's already back at his best and has to be mentioned! [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Semple_zps6a7c539a.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Adam Semple (Satalyst Giant)
Key stats/ MO 67, HI 73, TT 67
Last year's 4th here has to do better than his recent performance in his birth town Perth! He's amongst the best puncheurs and has to deliver like in 2013. [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_JSpencer_zps366b3227.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Jason Spencer (Charter Mason)
Key stats/ MO 70, HI 68, TT 67
The 16 years old Victorian based Spencer is likely to lead the team in it's season debut. One of the most promising climbers in Australia could surprise here. [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Copp_zps641b8d47.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Jayden Copp (ProTeam Down Under)
Key stats/ MO 60, HI 68, TT 68
The Queensland based Copp may be a dark horse in the team's "home race". A "lite version" of Van der Ploeg, Copp combines both hills and sprints!
Pre-race comments/ [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Edmondson_zps3a233c54.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Alex Edmondson (Euride Racing)
"Our ultimate ambition is to support both O'Brien and Carpenter to fight for the GC-win or podium. The TTT could be the key to our success. My personal goal is a stage-win, as those tricky flat stages should suit me quite well!"

Earle has to be considered main favorite. He is in imperious form, and it's a race suited to his talents. Combined with a strong Huon team and the domination could continue.
But this could be O'Briens best chance to stop him. Strong TTT team could make a real difference, if he can stay in contact on the opening two stages.
Anderson the real dark threat here. Strong on hills, strong in the TTT. Could 'upset' things in a big way.
