With my new found motivation I took to the road in any event I could find.
It didn't matter what type of race it was, I was testing out all my skills.
I wanted to see what I was made of and where I show focus my training.
Too bad California doesn't have any cobbles as I would have rode them too.

I started with a 28km individual time trial event to build up my confidence.
And I wasn't going to be denied in what I considered to be my best event,
time trialing just came so naturally for me. I easily took the victory.
So, I stepped up the challenge and entered a flat criterium event.
Again the same result, I was back to racing and I was 2 for 2.
Sure it was against a bunch of average amateurs but it still felt great.
So why not try the rolling hills for 120kms?
I couldn't be stopped, surely Bissell was taking notes of this.
But it wasn't until I raced up Mt. Baldy
that the scouts finally looked my way again.
4 drastically different races over 2 months equals 4 victories!
Although the 2009 cycling season was coming to a close,
I was finally starting to open up doors to be able to race professional.
As the end of the 2009 cycling season finally came to a close,
I decided it was time for me to go visit home since
my recent prize winnings were able to cover the cost.
So, I packed up my bags and headed to down to the Los Angeles Airport
to catch a flight for Kansas as it was finally time for me to face my parents.
I knew it was going to be tough but it had to be done eventually.
Why steal someone elses joke people! Seriously that's my thing with Ian
