Quick Poll: How much of a shock was Peeters win at Dwars Door Vlaanderen to you? We at JK Cycling knew he could do it all along
Find us on Twitter! (Or don't, because I don't use it. It's annoying and obnoxious.)
Introducing the JK Cycling Project
Cycling is really taking off in Asia at the moment. With an increase in European television broadcasting, most people commuting via bicycle anyway and some of the best cycling roads in the world, it has always been a matter of time before professional cycling took off, and that there was a specialist cycling team designed to encourage and support the junior cyclists.
Both Japan and Korea have decided that it would be wise to pool their resources to help develop some of their talents, as well as giving some of the older rider's one last chance at going pro. Many of the young cyclists from these countries have much to look forward to and work towards now that this team has been created and presented to the public.
The manager has been confirmed; DaBobScotts. In an interview, he mentioned something slyly about giving the team a "Euro" focus. The rest of that interview is still being translated (and always will be).
One thing is for sure; there is a long season ahead for this new, exciting team.

well, the way I see it, he's in WT.... Hopefully it won't be too much of a problem, but could lead to some interesting competitions for riders....

That would come very surprising for both him and all other current managers

You've just hugely bumped up the price of all the riders he wanted though. Not that I think you shouldn't build whatever team you like, I just found it kinda funny. |

Plenty of new Asian riders to go around but with Bintang moving to Indonesia things could get very interesting.

...Great. I looked at the DB and thought "Yeah, that worked well in PCM, and there are plenty of riders there". Now you guys come along, and I'm starting to doubt my decision. This will be a very interesting season I think.

Itll be fun to have more Asian teams. Theres always a chance Ill add more riders to the DB based on nationality selections of the new teams, and theres definately a very good chance of there being more Asian races on the calendar!

It could still work just fine and it is great to see more competition in the Asia Continental races.

There are plenty of good asian riders in the DB already before this season to get a decent CT and PCT team. No one say you have to have 100% of your riders from that region. Two strong european riders wouldn't kill the setup imo.
Will be interesting to see btw. And I think that in a year or two we will have a strong asian team in the WT, and thus making it profitable to loan deals in the future. It's pretty cool I think.

Well. I heard the Koreans are nice, so go sign them As for the Japanese riders, dont think there are any decent ones in the db, so no point trying......
You are just CT though I think. Hopefully you have a delayed transfer season like last year, or else I'm not getting 3/4 of my team on 50k wages
Edit:
We could definitely do some loans though.....

Well, Heine, my plan is to provide a lifetime supply of chocolate, and maybe use that to bribe him away from all of my transfer targets

I agree, several non-Asian riders won't hurt. Obviously the focus is on Japan and Korea, as they are providing the funding for this little escapade. Looking forward to potentially working with Valv, I might even develop into a feeder team later on!

I might be able to steal, I mean find, a few. And I'm hoping we don't have a delayed, otherwise there goes most of my plans. Although, in the grander scheme of things, a delayed transfer season is probably in the best interests in the game.
