@ matti524: I've used the PCM.daily V1 database.
At the end of the 2011-season, I've changed some of the teams as in real life (Omega Pharma - Quick Step, Lotto), and put some new ones in (you can look for yourself in your games folder, C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Seizoen 2011\3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Team and for the minishirts C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Seizoen 2011\Gui\team_shirt). And when new jersey is released (for the 2012 teams), I'll put it in the game / DB, like with Cofidis...
Another return to Belgium, to the 46th edition of the Grand Prix Pino Cerami. The race suits a a rider with the combination of a good cobbler and a good puncheur. Last year, the race was won by Joost Posthuma.
The race is 195 kilometres long and features 4 final laps of 15.5 kilometres in and around the town of Wasmuel. The riders have to climb the very steep Tienne du Dragon (0.6km at 12.9%) 4 times.

Our goal
As we won the race last year, why not go for the same this year?
Because last year we won the race out of an early breakaway, we'll try the same this year. The first few attempts are by Sep Vanmarcke, but he has no luck. Next one to try is Sébastien Rosseler, and he has more luck. He gets in the BOTD together with John Lee Augustyn (Sony Ericsson), Johannes Fröhlinger (M&M's), Nicolas Edet (Cofidis), Jan Tratnik (Omega Pharma), Matti Helminen (Landbouwkrediet) and the Vacansoleil duo Ruslan Pidgornyy & Marco Marcato. When the enter the closed circuit for the last 4 laps, with 62 kilometres remaining, they have a gap of 5 minutes to the peloton.
Sébastien Rosseler and Marco Marcato are by far the strongest riders in the breakaway. And in the penultimate ascend of the Tienne du Dragon (23km to go), they ride away from the others. At this moment, the peloton is 2'29 behind, so all odds are open.
The 2 leader cooperate very well, so in the next 8 kilometres, the gap stays the same. One lap to go, 15.5 kilometres!
Because of that, riders in the peloton get nervous. Kevin Hulsmans (Cofidis) is the first to attack, but he gets countered by Niki Terpstra.
At the summit of the Tienne du Dragon, Rosseler feels he is stronger than Marcato and attacks. 7km to go, and the peloton is 1'33 behind.
Rosseler builds up a lead of 20 seconds to the chasing Italian, who can see his opponents creating a bigger gap every metre. 3 kilometres to go and everything looks great for us!
And so it is! A great win for Sébastien Rosseler, the first of this season! Marcato finishes in 2nd at '20. Behind him Staf Scheirlinckx wins the sprint for the third place, beating Bert De Waele (Landbouwkrediet) and Lieuwe Westra.

Today's winner
Word from the DS
So just as last year, we win the GP Pino Cerami! Of course we are very happy about it, not only with the win of Rosseler, but also the efforts of his team mates in frustrating the chase.
The 5th and penultimate stage is from Eibar to Orio and is again very hilly. Shortly before the finish, the Alto de Aia has to be climbed twice.
And again, we are in the BOTD. Romain Zingle is the one, to be honest accidentaly. Movistars Oscar Sevilla had a gap, and Zingle was doing the pace in the peloton, when suddenly a gap appeared. Why not continue then? They get joined by Garmins Daniel Martin and reach the highest altitude today (the Alto del Santa Ageda) with a gap of 49 seconds to Denis Menchov (Sony Ericsson) and Michal Albasini (Qantas) and 5 minutes to the peloton.
In the first ascend of the Alto del Aia, Zingle can't follow the pace anymore, and has to let the 4 others go.... At this point, about 20 kilometres to the finish, the peloton is 1'23 behind.
The peloton catches the 4 leaders and when the final ascend of the Alto del Aia starts, all followers are waiting for the first rider to attack. WHo will it be (well, he must be Spanish!!) It's GC's number 2 Alberto Contador who attacks, 12km to go.
Of course, his main opponents don't want to let El Pistolero ride away, so there are some counterattacks. Rigoberto Urán (GC5) passes Contador, followed by Igor Antón (GC1) and Joaquim Rodríguez (GC3). The 4 create a small gap to Chris Horner (GC4) and Damiano Cunego (GC7).
Shortly before the summit, Antón attacks out of this group. WIth a lead of only '9 to Contador with the ITT waiting, he needs to enlarge his margin. He reaches the summit with a gap of '12.
And now you are probably wondering where Robert Gesink is? Well, due to same bad placing (thanks to a DS not paying attention for a moment) he got stuck and blocked in the ascend and reached the summit in a group of 29 riders, '52 behind Antón.
Back to the front, entering the last 5 km. Antón has extended his lead a bit and now leads with '19. Cunego and Horner have now joined the group Contador-Rodríguez-Urán, what means Gesink is the only rider in the top 7 that isn't present in the lead...
And Antón makes it 2 in a row, and gets celebrated and cheered by the Basque crowd. Rodríguez wins the sprint for the 2nd place, but the frustration and the protest is coming when the judges decide to give the 2nd group the same time as winner Antón, even if there is a gap of at least 15 seconds. The group with Robert Gesink finishes at '55 and the other Monsters (Sagan, Kelderman & Vanendert) even loose 2'05.

Word from the DS
Oops, I did it again....
Well, not again, but this was a mistake by the DS. Gesink should focus on a top 6 now, gaining '32 to Cunego should be possible. And my prediction for tomorrow: Contador takes the win and the GC.
While racing in Pais Vasco, another part of our team shows up in the Sarthe-region in France (near Le Mans and it's famous circuit) for the Circuit de Sarthe - Pays de Loire. A 4 stage race, consisiting of one flat race, one ITT, a hilly race (but classified as flat) and again a flat one.
Last year, the race was won by Samuel Dumoulin (and it was a bit windy at the podium :cool, followed by Jure Kocjan and Peter Sagan.

Our team
Our goal
A stage win, and a top 3 in the GC. But that will be difficult with all these French sprinters in a race in France.
Stage 1
The first stage is from Le Chateau d'Olonne to St. Mars-La-Jaille and is 151km long. There is an early attack with Rob Ruijgh in it. He is the first at the only KOTM-sprint of the day, securing himself of the polkadot jersey.
But in the end, it is a mass sprint, and the winner is coming from....... France. Tony Gallopin (Cofidis) wins it, beating Mark Renshaw (Rabobank) and Jimmy Casper (Saur). Best of our team is Pim Ligthart, in place 11.

Stage 2
Also stage 2 is won by a French rider, namely Jerome Coppel (Veranda's Willems). He is the fastest in a 6.7km time trial, beating Lotto's Dominique Cornu with 8 seconds. Our fastest rider is '34 slower: Marc de Maar in 30th place. Not good.

Stage 3
The 3rd stage from Angers to Pré-en-Pail is a hilly one, but classified as flat. So don't expect many changes...
Nevertheless, Rob Ruijgh is again in the attack today, collecting many KOTM-points and securing the jersey. But of course, the BOTD gets caught.
In the streets of Pré-en-Pail, our riders somehow seem to have many trouble in staying in the front part of the peloton. Even the hilly riders fall back. Strange...
So in the mass-sprint (with this profile, of course), the sprint is won by Mark Renshaw (Rabobank). Hey, he isn't French..... what's wrong with PCM? Also the number 2 and 3 (Frédéric Amorison and Aitor Galdos) aren't French. Ow, we managed to get the 29th place

Stage 4
The last stage from Le Mans to Bonnétable should be for the sprinters, again. But with 3 early Intermediate sprints, we have a plan!!! Yes, we try to make Pim Ligthart win all 3 the sprints, and getting back 18 bonus seconds! And we succeed in it
Next goal: win the sprint with Ligthart, so he overtakes Gallopin in the GC and wins this Circuit de Sarthe. We almost succeed in it: 14th place (again ). This time, the sprint is won by M&M's Kenny van Hummel, beating Jimmy Casper and Tony Gallopin. Because of this, Gallopin secures himself of the GC-win.

SOmetimes, you wonder why you started in a race..... Okay, winning the KOTM-jersey with Ruijgh is nice, but all stages not even a Top 10....
