Stage 2 is the first hilly stage, though the flat finish could favour Stage 1 winner Jonathan Bellis. Sanchez, Flugel, Rabon, Costa and others should all also be looked out for

Many are forecasting that the overall race could be decided by a breakaway victory, and Jayco Red Bull seem to be aiming at that. Vorganov is a strong presence in the first move while Hansen and another teammate are slowing the peloton

They get a minutes gap but suddenly slow going up the first climb, and are caught without a real chase.

Perhaps the group was too big for same, as a number of them immediately attack again - Vorganov going clear alone

The 8 riders clear eventually all link up, their lead peaking at 5 minutes with 60km to go

We move onto the 2nd climb. 36km to go, the break leads by 3'36 and the peloton is strung out on these narrow roads

But the break just ... stops. 3km later, and its all back together

Rapha Condor Qhubeka take control, and with no attacks, they lead over the top of the climb: Dowsett, Jiriakov, Sulzberger, Teklit, Bellis. The earlier climb was worth more, so Barta takes over i806.photobucket.com/albums/yy344/DailyManGame2011/minijer-kom.png from his teammate Zepunkte.

Such is the British team's control, all 7 of their riders take up the first 7 positions

And STILL they lead going into the finish straight with 2km to go

But as everyone watches each other, Sousa launches his sprint first and goes into the lead

Bellis and Gerrans lead the response but Sousa has really stolen a march on them

Sousa must settle for 2nd, while Rabon picks up some bonus seconds in beating Gerrans, Sulzberger and Dowsett for 3rd.
