Stage 6 -- Andorra La Vella - Col de la Core
Four categorized climbs, Port d'Envalira, Col de Souloumbrie, Col de Peguere and Col de la Core. Not the hardest mountain stage, but it should give a pointer to which riders that will be the main contenders.
Col de la Core finish
NOTE: For some reason as chose Basque as a region, and therefore the terrain and forrest main be quite strange. |

Thanks! Tourmalet from the La Mongie side isn't that hard to make really.
What I meant was that it is a hilly stage before the Tourmalet |

Many thanks! I don't want the GC to be set when we enter the Alps, and therefore the Pyrenees won't be that hard. |

Stage 8 -- Bagneres-de-Bigorre - Oloron-Sainte-Marie
Last stage in the Pyrenees, and it's probably a breakaway that is going to win. Col de Soulor, Col d'Aubisque, Col de Marie Blanque and Col de Labays are todays challenges.
Di Luca attacking the peloton on Aubisque and chases the break. |

Stage 9 -- Pau - Biarritz
Flat stage, with some hills both in the middle and in the end. Shouldn't be a big problem for the sprinters, though. |

Stage 10 -- Bayonne - Arcachon
The route continues on the coast of the Biscaya Bay, to the town on Arcachon close to Bordeaux. Mostly flat, it should be a stage for the sprinters, though wind could shake things up a bit.
Finish in Arcachon |

Stage 11 -- Bergerac - Limoges
The stage start in Bergerac, known for its wine, and finishes in Limoges known for its copper. Quite hilly, and should suit the likes of Hushovd, EBH and Rojas. The stage finishes with a small hill of 7% over just under a kilometer.
The break outside of Limoges
NOTE: This is the last stage that I made before I started this thread, so I'm not sure how rapid the stagemaking is going to proceed onwards. But I have done most of the work on about half of the stages, so it shouldn't take that long to finish the variant. |
