With the new face model i hope they will be recognized better than with the last one!

I'll make a start, but i don't know how it looks ingame, because i don't own the game yet!

I just tried to check the face ingame. Unfortunately I have no idea how to add it to the DB.
I wasn`t able to call the DYN_Cyclist line skin_tga basso or somehow else.

So just numbers were accepted. As 1 was used for 3 black riders and 6 for some Asian riders I used the 3 and overwrote the files Type3_face, arms, eyes and legs without success. Still a default skin ingame.

I am still looking for the right way to integrate it into the game.
I have it there now but with no understandable logic behind.
Obviously you can`t have names for every face as letters aren`t allowed in the table.

Beforehead I won`t start with doing some faces.

I haven't looked into the db stuff, but i tested the basso face ingame and i'm afraid they really don't look good. They are even less recognizable than in the old PCM versions. That's why i haven't done more stuff since then.
The 3D head model is very distinctive. I'm going to show some screenshots later.

Imo only Hushovd is recognizable - and that's maybe because the face model fits to him.
It's just i had another image in my mind while making the faces, but i honestly don't think they look good ingame. But maybe that's just my taste.

I'll play around a bit to see if i can make them look better ingame.

edit: I did play around the last minutes and i think you can make them look better if you adjust the face a bit. Here is a - in my opinion - better recognizable Basso:

How dou you add them into your game?

By what number in skin_TGA? And how do you call them in the folder and which folder?

I tried it as in PCM10, but doesn`t work for me some reason.

I just decided to look into it. It's pretty simple:

The info is stored in a new table, STA_tga_skin.
Add the names in gene_sz_tga_skin, and the ID from this table is the one you are supposed to use in DYN_cyclist.

I just made some attempts. But as EintrachtFan already mentioned they aren`t that good in 3D.
In PCM10 the eyes were part of his face and so you could seem who it is.
But in PCM11 they eyes are seperated and even if you change the eye colour etc. the are around the eyes is still not like on the picture.
That`s probably the main reason, why the faces can`t really be identified in game.

Quite a pity actually.

It worked for me. Make sure that you choose the correct DB in the options and also that you have saved the DB after editing.

Despite this, it's better than have all riders with the same face, hair colour, skin colour...
For me, the riders look much better in PCM 2010 and we can difference them a lot.

That`s probably the reason, why I will make some more and then we don`t have 180x the same, but just 20x the same and most of them have glasses, so you don`t really see them.

That's what i would've answered too, but are you sure this is working? I tried it this way but the game still use the default face!

As roturn mentioned, because of the fact, that every rider has the same eye shape they don't look that good. I'll too make some faces but this is definitely a bit demotivating.
