Hi I have the Downloaded version of PCM10, and I have two installations. Today I tried to make a third installation, and when I clicked that pcm.exe installed the drivers and then I couldn't start the game, and now my other two installations dont work either. I keep getting an error message:
Insert the PCM 2010 disc into the disc drive and press "Retry". If the disc is in the drive, make sure its contents can be viewed in the Windows Explorer. If it is a multidisc product, try the main disc or others. If nothing helps, press "Error report" and send the report to product technical support.
So I did that, but then I found a thread on the Cyanide forum with the same problem, so I tried all the fixes (run as administrator, and deleting the Keys folder in your Cyanide Registry, renamed the PCM folder in my documents so that it wouldn't recognize it, and tried un-installing then re-installing the drivers for the game) but none of those work.
This really ruins my fun. I was about to play the 1998 db after downloading, making a 3rd installation and installing the db all day long and now this.
Edit: Also un-installing all three version and then re-installing them isn't really an option for me, unless its the only possible way to fix this problem (which I fear may be the case)

You should never install the game more then once. I even thought that it is not possible to do so. (I thought that when running the installation after the game has been installed, it would uninstall instead.)
This his what you should do if you want to play several DBs at the same time:
1. Install the game
2. Install the patch
3. Make a copy of the pcm folder (where pcm.exe is in) for each DB you want to play
4. Rename each folder to represent the DB
5. Unpack the DBs into the appropriate folder
Now you should at least have 2 folders, one with the original game (incl. patch) and one with the DB installed.
Now do this to play any DB:
1. Write down the name of installation folder (needed for step 3)
2. Rename the original game folder to "pcm 2010 patched"
3. Rename the folder of the DB you want to play as noted in step 1
4. Play the game
I don't really know how to get your game running again, but I think you have to uninstall all PCM installations.
You could try to rename (or copy) the 2 previous installations so that you don't have to install these DBs all over after you get your game running again.
I guess the cleanest would be to uninstall the starforce drivers before you are uninstalling the game. (There is a exe in the same folder as pcm.exe do remove these drivers)
Then uninstall all PCM installations.
Then clear all Cyanide information from the registry (there is more then one, so search carefully)
Now you should be able to install again, following my step by step guide above.
Ok thanks Lachi, I'll try un-installing my main version which is just the one I kept for Online play and to copy if I wanted another db.
Atleast I see the error in my ways for next time.
Hmm seem to have it working but now I;m out of activations, so I asked them for some now too, but I'm still not even sure if the game will work just from that.
