How to get Wild Cards

Hello!
I would like some advice on what to do to get wild cards as a continental team. I've started a custom career with Gilbert and Haussler as my stars. I'm on top of the continental rankings but I'm still getting rejected to enter the pro tour races. (I'm playing on hard)
I would like to race TdF later on and I guess I'll have to have some Pro Tour points to even have a chance of a wild card. Is there something I can do to increase my chances of getting wild cards?
If worst comes to worst, what do I have to change in the DB to cheat myself into the TdF and the races my sponsors want me to participate in?

And to go from Continental to Pro Tour,what ranking we have to see? The Continental or Superprestige ranking?

By superprestige, do you mean CQ Ranking (I'm playing the PCMDaily DB)? In that list I'm in fifth place so I guess I get discriminated just because I have a swedish team then? That really sucks!
Anyone who can point me in a direction on how to change things in the savegame-DB so I can make my team join PT races? |

@ samuel sanchez. First 2 of Continental list will come into Pro Tour.
@ gunde Open your savegame with a converter and open DYN_Team_Race and STA_invitation_State. Then you look for the combination from your team and the race. (You find these ID`s in STA_Race and DYN_Team) and change the fkId_invitation_state. It`s even possible after the wildcards were given. In STA_Invitation_State the numbers are explained. 2 asking, 3, takes part, 4 don`t take part ans so on.
If there is no combination just create one on the bottom. And remember you have to reject another team if you subscribe into the race. Would take another wildcard team without big ambitions.

Why? It lets the best continental teams participate in the Tour instead of a team with a moderate good sprinter who wins a lot of small races. |

Indeed. Nice change in my opinion. In 09 there were always teams like Topsport Vlanderen in Pro Tour because of the cobble races and then they started all GT`s without any good rider. Teams like Cervelo, Cofidis or BMC were always quite far behind in Contirank but in Top 20 of Superprestige. |

look at the ratings of the races and try to win the highest rated races that fit your racers.
I made myself a continental team with boasson hagen and LL Sanchez but easily made Pro Tour because I prioritised the high ranked races. Won 31 races first year with LL Sanchez including top 10 in TDF (contador and schleck are Beasts)
if you dont get any wildcards just focus on the TOP continental races like Turkey around and the 9-10 races in that league of races. |

so the thread starter is handicapped because his team isnt French, Dutch, Belgium or Italian. He will struggle to get promoted because these larger nation teams will take the wildcard spots in pro tour races?? Meaning this Swedish team will have to settle for smaller races and low Supersteige ranking = no promotion. Seems very unfair to me but i suppose it's realistic. |

Thanks for the suggestion I know the difference between GT, PT, HC and x.1. Is there another rating within the main categories? I searched without finding anything. Or is a 1.1 race equal to all the other 1.1 races?

Thank you for your sympathy  I agree with you that realistic not always mean better. I think the attributes and results of the riders should decide the probability of getting wild cards. But with all the editors this fantastic community supplies it's no big deal. That's what I like about this game. You can always tweak it to suit your needs. |

but lets say how high is the chance to get into a grand tour with a strong conti team that isnt from a country where the gts take place? i never played with a conti team on carrier mode so far..
