According to Marca, Liquigas are not satisfied with "only" Pellizotti, Basso, Kreuziger and Nibali.
They've reportedly made a huge bid for Contador.
If this comes to be true..Lance will know how it was to ride against US Postal
That... wouldnt be a bad thing... right?
No that would be reality check..damn they are like US Postal (3 riders are capable to be inside GC top 6)..damn again..even worse they have a Contador

HLN is once again reporting Wiggins to Sky. This time they report it as a done deal.

I smell BS too, Wiggins has signed for Garmin for 2010, as wiggins and garmin have said many many times now.

On another forum there's this crazy cook who keeps saying Contador will announce this and will announce that on this and that date. Usually with several weeks' advance.
The kicker is whenever the day comes around he's always right.
This time he says Contador will announce Sunday he's signed with Garmin to fill the spot of Wiggins who signed with Sky.
Stuff...

I think Hagen will grow and become a much better rider when he gets other norwegians at Sky
Maybe he can win harder races than Tour de Benelux |

I had faith in Garmin. Then Vande Velde and Wiggins had these transformations.
Then Vaughters tried to explain Danielson's improvement by saying they changed his diet in a way that caused his fast twitch muscle fibers to mutate to slow twitch.....which isn't possible. That almost sealed it for me.
Then he signed Van Summeren and posted on the cyclingnews forum he's looking to sign Contador. That was the nail in the coffin for me.
EDIT: By the way, it's interesting to note that the low gluten diet was precisely Gianni Bugno's explanation for changing from a middling rider to a top rider.
Years later we found out that it was in fact Bugno making the very common transition from guy-who-has-money-to-buy-average-drugs to guy-who-has money-to-buy-top-drugs-and-sign-top-of-the-line-doctor

Is it wise for Wiggins to ride for Sky next year? He wont have much help in the mountains, while in Garmin he could have Danielson and Vandevelde as helpers. |

I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, as there was no evidence to the contrary. Now I'm not willing to.

If Wiggins goes to Sky. Lövkvist has made the biggest mistake of his life. He want to be a Tour captain and that will he never be with Wiggins on the team. And the fact he isn't good enough. He should try to be captain in the Giro and Vuelta instead. |

Well, he'll have Lövkvist at least, although I think Lövkvist would like to be captain himself... |

Lövkvist is far from being a tour de france contender yet, he's good for maximum 12-14 days, and then he fades away badly. So I don't think he's ready to be a captain in any Grand tour yet. |

I didn't say he was ready for it, just that he probably wants to.
Hopefully, he'll learn to handle riding in the heat and getting better at not fading away. |

wiggins + lovkvist, augustyn, possoni.
in a year or two, with serious training and a bit of good luck, I'd call that a win-win mountain squad
