09 DB: Bug reports (V2)
Bob
There is a massive error in the transfer part of the game.. After the first season the national teams begin to recruit riders.. Voigt signed for Russia and Arvesen for Great Brittain..

Something tells me the beta testers played a couple races, looked at it for a couple of days and said "yeah, it's nice. ship it."

quite clearly. Because the above is quite major.

Hold it!

It was tested properly, and the DB did not show any bug we could change.

As mentioned, national teams sign riders, but this is not due to this database.

edit:
Quite clearly somthing went wrong between the final beta, and the release version. Not before that.

Really? Why have I never heard of that before?

If it's fixable, please tell me how. We did notice the bug in the beta testing, but we didn't find a solution to it, and I thought that it was related to the game, not the database.

For those critizising the beta testing, you could have participated yourself - but you didn't.

As mentioned in the news section, we will release a fix tomorrow which will correct what's been mentioned in this thread.

That's one of the worst attempts at excuses I've ever heard

Good to see you're fixing the problems.

Some of the national teams like Russia, Great Britain and other teams listed here earlier are not marked as national teams (gene_b_national in DYN_team).

Thank you. I must have overlooked that column.

Only a visual bug:

Grand Prix Cycliste La Marseillaise @ 01/02 is showing as 1445.0 km long on the info page and on the loading screen.
Fortunatly for my unfit riders it turned out to be only 144 km Pfft (Just finished it in 3d)

Q

probably a mistake made by the stage-maker.Wink

No, it's a mistake of the database-maker Grin

Yep, no reason to blame Jaap here. He did an excellent job Wink

No its not stage 2 which is buggy TunderBlaze Wink its something which happens sometimes. I've tested it 5 times and 2 times I could play the stage and twice the game gave an error, dont know why.

Yeah, it's a very, very weird bug. Happens from time to time for no reason at all. However, when using Cyanide's original profiles, no problems occur at all.

Hello, sorry but I will write in french...

He said that there were bugs on the sixth stage of the Giro. And I know all the bugs in that stage, I've already re done the whole stage.

Don't know if this is a bug, or if it has been mentioned. But In the scouting regions, the northeast region of italy has Fruili, spelled Frioul or something like that.

You're talking about simulating stages. I'm talking about playing them.

Should have made clear that I played them. Wink

And whatever influences how fast you can ride up L'Alpe, it's not the level, the bike stats, the wind, the rider, the fitness or the form - based on my test anyway.

Giro bug is surprise for me..I played this (no simulation)...
And hey..sry. there I didnt have time to play 3 times over a season whole career...to track down any possible bug.
Critics did something..next versio will be out much later next time.

Either way, it's supposed to be "Friuli" Smile

Don't worry, the 09 Giro wasn't added until after the Final Beta.
