Obviously a very fun report to read - so thank you lief and to all for the congratulations! And to think that I wasn’t even going to attend this race until I rethought my schedule after C1/C2 results and needed to substitute those RDs.
Oka should now be guaranteed a top 20 position which is absolutely bonkers as I thought he wouldn’t end up anywhere near the sprints after seeing the startlists. Still, I’m glad I put together my best train just in case as it shows now occasionally it’ll hit.
Kennett showing why we sacrificed our best talent for the chance at a true star. Our first win of the season and a beautiful representative for our team. Hopefully he can hold onto yellow for another day and turn this into a top 5 GC placing! As long as he finds top 10s regularly, anything more than today is icing on the cake!

What a result Sean, congrats!
Willwohl 5th is a pleasant surprise. Can't be disappointed with that. Adomaitis 13th is intriguing. Was he in the BOTD? That's the kind of 4D chess that may help us stay afloat. Curious to see what comes nexr. Thanks for the report lief!

Ah, unfortunate. For a bit, it looked like Willems was in great position, alas he couldn't convert. 12th is quite bad to be honest, after 8th yesterday already wasn't great. Hopefully he can still turn it around.
What a month Trans are having, already their third win if I'm not mistaken. Congrats! And thanks for another nice report

Why is Kamberaj doing well at the intermediates but nothing in the sprints? |

Better from Zabel, and Kallberg just keep those points slowly getting in

Not sure what this result will mean for team leadership moving forward, but a 5th place is a 5th place! Still in great standing but Kennett needs to find clean air. Hopefully that won’t be a major problem the next two stages - but lots of folks are struggling with that same issue. Think these flat states really test the leadouts and that was never going to be great for us when we held jerseys.
Liu with a great win, always fun to see the teams that control early actually make it work. Congrats Tinxia - love seeing your team pull together some great wins!

Maintaining our top 10 GC means it's another decent stage from Einhorn, hopefully he can pick the correct wheel in one of these sprints as it seems he's always on the back of a train that collapses.

Zingle isn't competitive for the time being, so I’m drawing inspiration from Liu’s performances instead Congrats Tinxia!

Yes that's much better. Given the leadout we maybe should have had more than third, but we'll take the result after stage 1

Not really the first 2 stages I was looking for or hoping for but there is still time for the boys to bring it back and score some points. If I remember correctly, it wasn't until stage 3 last season Coquard finally appeared and then he won 3 in a row and the GC soooo nothing is impossible
Congrats to the winners so far and thanks for the great reports!

Another impressive outing by Willwohl. Oshri in the break as well. Can't complain with how my lads are performing in these first 2 stages.
Trans are having a blast in january. Congrats again Tinxia!

Decent showing from Ewan on stage two, feel like he again failed to capitalise on a winning position in the final sprint, but at least he's consistently up there and putting himself in a position where he's still in the conversation for the GC win.
Congrats to Tinxia and Sean for the wins so far and thanks Lief for the detailed reports!

What a great stage for us! Really needed that. Sure, a stage win for Willems would've been fantastic, but showing that he's capable of podium finishes is the most important thing, and that 2nd place puts him back into the conversation for a better GC finish. 7 riders within 8 seconds between 3rd and 9th is so close!
Great stuff from Gojkovic, too. 2nd in the KoM, 2nd in the U25 (where Willems now leads), and up to 13th overall thanks to those bonus seconds. If he can get into the breakaway one more time to hold or improve on that, that would be incredible.
And then it's good to see Ewan fully deliver, congrats Dippo! Looking good for the GC win now. And thanks for another great report

Zabel doing better and better, though sad to see Kallberg loose the youth standings

Kennett mostly imaginary this stage but pulls together a top 10 to at least secure some points. A fantastic position for us in the GC that I know will continue to deteriorate, but assuming Ewan continues to succeed - there’s only so low we can go!
Thank you lief for all the reports!

The leadout still has room for improvement, but the results are becoming better
