The initial deal saw us part ways with Logan Currie and a fee of 250k to acquire Jiankun Liu from Lotto-Caloi. Liu was subsequently moved alongside Aleks Bechkov to Trans Looney Tunes. Coming our away is the following Slovenian climber to join our ranks in addition to a fee of 300k.
Jaka Primozic | Age: 28 | Lvl: 4.100 | Wage: 125k | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | | 69 | 76 | 75 | 74 | 68 | 79 | 77 | 79 | 61 | 66 | 73 | 72 | 67 | 69 |
Primozic: This is an exciting move for me and I'm looking forward to testing myself against the best in the world in every single race. After some early talks with management they see me as an important rider in this upcoming season and going forward.

Primozic is a great addition to escort Pogacar through the long climbs, he'll never get tired ...

We took an opportunity to sign another later developing rider. This time we went a bit farther from our home base, but we are no strangers to signing riders from this particular South American country.
Following that we figured that it is never bad to stock up on climbing talent. In this case we were able to sign a relative youngster on an affordable deal for us. With a few climbers leaving the team during this transfer season we thought this was a good opportunity to replenish some talent in that area in particular.
After some deliberation and discussions we decided a loan could perhaps work well for us and the two riders. We again found a willing partner in Polar so both will get good experience in the Pro Tour this season.
With that said we welcome:
Jesus David Pena | Age: 26 | Lvl: 3.25 | Wage: 55k | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | | 66 | 72 | 72 | 71 | 62 | 68 | 69 | 68 | 57 | 64 | 73 | 71 | 70 | 59 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 68 | 77 | 77 | 73 | 63 | 72 | 73 | 71 | 57 | 65 | 76 | 73 | 72 | 59 |
Pena: This a great opportunity for me to showcase that I can make it as professional cyclist. I'll also be riding in the same team with someone I look up to in Egan Bernal which I'm sure will be a great experience.
Awet Aman | Age: 23 | Lvl: 3.46 | Wage: 55k | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | | 63 | 72 | 71 | 70 | 60 | 68 | 71 | 68 | 58 | 62 | 67 | 64 | 69 | 59 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 65 | 77 | 76 | 72 | 61 | 72 | 75 | 71 | 58 | 63 | 70 | 66 | 71 | 59 |
Aman: I think it's pretty cool how me, Jesus and Emanuel will all be riding together this upcoming season despite all of us being on loan. Through this experience we can build a unique bond between us.

a lot of riders that will be very useful in the near future already, mostly on very low wages. Some great dealing and wheeling!

Not sure they'll ride together much.

Bargain-basement stuff compared to what you are doing

Swap deals have become a theme in the transfer season and that's very evident in our dealings as well. After acquiring Jaka Primozic some of our other climbers were tested on the market, this deal came as a result. Michal Schlegel and Kristjan Hocevar are leaving to join IESE Pro Cycling and in their place we received a fee of 650k and the following rider.
Stephen Williams | Age: 30 | Lvl: 4.100 | Wage: 130k | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | | 68 | 78 | 76 | 74 | 66 | 72 | 76 | 76 | 63 | 65 | 74 | 75 | 72 | 66 |
Williams: I'm happy I get to stay in the Pro Tour. From my talks with the staff my race schedule is likely to be Grand Tour focused so I should have ample opportunities to show my attacking riding in the mountains.

I was very happy with Williams last season, definitely being very active and trying for those breakaways in the GTs. Hope he can serve you well too! |

Regardless of how our transfer dealings went, if possible we wanted to try improving our team for the hilly classics. In the end we were able to get two riders from free agency. They aren't huge names, but we believe they can give us a bit of a lift and should fit nicely into our team in other races as well.
With that said we welcome:
Johannes Schinnagel | Age: 30 | Lvl: 4.100 | Wage: 80k | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | | 68 | 75 | 75 | 74 | 65 | 77 | 72 | 71 | 57 | 65 | 73 | 69 | 74 | 65 |
Schinnagel: It was weird to be left without a team when Puma folded, but I think I landed on my feet here. I'm excited to know I'll be part of a pretty homogeneous setup and have the chance to ride for myself at times.
Leo Vincent | Age: 31 | Lvl: 4.100 | Wage: 100k | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | | 70 | 71 | 74 | 77 | 68 | 79 | 72 | 70 | 65 | 67 | 71 | 69 | 70 | 69 |
Vincent: I had a great time in the Continental Tour last year, but now I can test myself in the biggest races on the calendar. This was a no-brainer move for me at this stage of my career!

Glad to see my long since former rider Vincent get a ride in the PT. I reckon he could score a few surprise points!

We always want to bring in the best local talent available and that's what this signing is. We know Roman just recently received Slovenian citizenship, but that didn't deter us in this particular case. He's an all around rider that can contribute in many different races. With our love for cobbles though he may go down a route similar as listed below. He will spend his neo-pro season on loan at Trans Looney Tunes.
Roman Ermakov | Age: 22 | Lvl: 1.00 | Wage: 110k | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | | 72 | 68 | 68 | 68 | 70 | 71 | 68 | 71 | 68 | 68 | 64 | 72 | 68 | 67 | | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | | 79 | 68 | 69 | 69 | 73 | 78 | 73 | 74 | 75 | 70 | 67 | 75 | 68 | 70 |
Ermakov: I hope I can follow in the footsteps of all of the riders that have started their careers here. Whatever the future holds my aim is to be a part of a successful team going forward. I'll spend this season on loan and then we'll see where we are come this time next year.

Ermakov is a cool talent, and I'd have taken him down exactly the same dev path. Should make him a great and very consistent cobbler!

Some very useful domestiques picked up late in transfers. Ermakov is an excellent addition as well.

Yeah he's cool. Have to take Slovenian talents whenever possible, but so far there isn't a future local or foreign leader on the team.

Not sure I see the same bright future you do.

Not really happy with the way transfers went. Added too many mediocre riders so I'll need to sort things out next year.

Looks like you're building an setting yourself up nicely for the future. Imagine the season where you decide to push, and sell/trade several of these valuable domestiques. Then sign a couple of FAs to fill out your team, and use the money on buying/trading one of those top, top leaders, or even use it as training money.
Like the look of Ermakov, as the newest future bright/solid rider in your team
Looking forward to see your training plans too! |
