With Gesbert and Wisniowski you already have two strong leaders at this level and Konychev should give you some nice income. In another year I might have gone for him myself.

Would have liked to see a couple of more dots to Wisniowski and Gesbert, as they would be potentially interesting for my setup having currently no puncheurs, and lacking a cobbled leader for my ton of domestiques Grin

Konychev is a really fun rider. He would have fun with the similar types I already have a couple of. If the right team were to pick him up it would also be very interesting to see how he would perform after a couple of trainings, eg. 80SPR. The high FL and FIG stat could make him just power away rather than having to rely on his ACC. Unfortunately I guess we'll never know Smile

Indeed, think we have a nice set up with those two as leaders, in addition to Dainese who hopefully can return to his 2023-form soon.

I am planning with Wisniowski and Gesbert in the team, but given their ages, I will of course consider a good offer Smile

Support your thoughts on Konychev. He is already a really fun rider, and it would indeed be interesting to see his sprint stat bumped. Unfortunately that won't be with us as long as Dainese is a part of the team, but would be cool to see another team with more freedom in the sprint area take a chance on that Smile

Always been a big Konychev fan, although had no idea he was Italian. You always have strong sprinters, feels like he is a guy who could thrive on another team with more limited sprint options so that availability makes a lot of sense to me.

I have an Italian sponsor. You have an Italian rider. Who knows what could happen... Not that excited to have Wisniowski competing at this level, so if you wouldn't mind selling him that would be fantastic.

I agree with your take! I believe he could thrive with a little more freedom than we can offer him at the moment.

That does sound like a good fit...
We'll see about Wisniowski:lol:

Konychev is definitely a special rider, but I think I'm over signing sprinters with ridiculous flat stats, honest Pfft

Definitely a stronger starting point for you as a fellow relegating team, fully expect you to be among the promotion favourites when all is said and done Smile

2025 | Transfer round-up

It has been another busy transfer season for Assa Abloy, and general manager 'Sykkel_Freak' was eager to announce his new signings at a press conference this evening:

The biggest signing this window was arguably Anders Halland Johannessen who arrives from Aker - MOT in a deal that saw Alexander Konychev move the other way. "We're excited to welcome Anders. He will bring a new dimension to the team, with his excellent ability to handle long ascends, and even more so, long descends! We're looking forward to see what he can do for us both this season and in the long-term", 'Sykkel_Freak' said. In addition, Pierre Paolo Penasa has arrived to further strengthen the climbing department.

E. Morin (30)PuncheurXP: 4.100Wage: € 60.000

For those who have followed the team for a few seasons, Lionel Coutinho will be a familiar name. After a spell outside the team, he has returned, ready to fill the role as primary lead-out for team captain Alberto Dainese.

N. Zegklis (29)FighterXP: 4.100Wage: € 50.000

The team is known for liking attacking riders, and have retained three more in the transfer season. Hopes are that Nikolaos Zeglis can have an immediate impact with his well rounded abilities, while Luis Esteban Murillo and James Morris Berroa supports the long-term evolution of the team as young talents.

V. Manakov (33)RouleurXP: 4.100Wage: € 50.000

It was difficult to replace the strength of Konychev on the flats with only one rider, so Assa Abloy has done it with three! Viktor Manakov, Marcus Culey and Romeo Quicibal is expected to mostly be seen pacing at the front of the peloton at the order of their team leaders this season.

2025 | Assa Abloy Secures Promotion to PT

We can never exactly predict how the dynamics change with a new game engine, and for Assa Abloy, the results were mixed. While a rider like Lukasz Wisniowski delivered weaker than previously, some riders also shined brighter than ever before. The best example is Elie Gesbert, who scored an impressive 898 points and ended the individual PCT rankings in 4th place. Italian sprinter Alberto Dainese also re-surfaced after a weak PT-season last year to end the individual rankings in a solid 7th place. Together, the duo were the main drivers behind Assa Abloy’s success this season, which culminated in a 5th place in the PCT rankings and promotion to the PT.

Are all our success due to Dainese and Gesbert? Certainly not! In total, the team took home 3 race wins [Gesbert x2, Dainese], 6 additional race podiums [Dainese x3, Gesbert x2, Hänninen], 7 stage wins [Gesbert x3, Manakov, Culey, Boswell, Zegklis], 1 points classification [Gesbert], 2 KoM classifications [Culey x2] and 1 team classification. Impressively, all of the team’s riders scored points this season.

Elie Gesbert celebrates winning GP Gisborne.

Back in the PT for 2026, Assa Abloy is reportedly looking to make a few reinforcements in order to avoid a 2nd relegation. However, rumours are that the team is planning to retain most of its excisting roster for next season, with team manager ‘Sykkel_Freak’ believing that most of his riders can do a good job in the top division. In addition, Danish cobbles talent William Blume Levy will be returning to the team after spending a year on loan at Grieg-Maersk, set to take on leadership responsibility on the cobbles with Wisniowski getting older.

Congrats on promotion Smile

Not a bad year to go up with all the options set to be available in free agency.

Thanks! Certainly hope for a more forgiving transfer market than the last time around we promoted Smile Feel like we have a better base to build upon this time too!

Welcome back to the Pro Tour Smile Can't wait to see what you'll end up doing in the off season. Plenty to be done with aging riders I assume.

Thanks, SotD! Smile Not looking to do a whole lot this transfer season actually, as I think our core still has a couple of seasons in it before we need a bigger rebuild, but we’ll se what the transfer window brings!

Very curious to see if you go all in for a FA superstar, or what is your play this transfer season. The core in this team feels very, very solid, also for PT, so not a lot needed to make sure of a season well outside the fight to avoid relegation.

Congrats on the promotion! Like you said, the team is already well set for next season, but this transfer window seems like the most open one in a while.

Congrats on promotion! Always liked riding in the same division as you (though less so when you start beating us heaps...) since coming up together. Don't think you are wrong at all to have confidence in your core to achieve in PT and secure a long-term future in the division!

Hope you are right! Certainly some very interesting superstars available this year, but then again the FA market is rarely very wage efficient for leaders, so we will see which path we choose in the end Smile

Thank you! Can’t wait to get started and feels like the most exciting market in some time Smile

Thanks, and the feeling is mutual Smile We’ll see who beats who in the end, though
